[STRIKE]Bored of cooking the same meals all the time? Dig out a cookery book or search on line and plan to cook something new this weekend. It can be a dinner, cake or even breakfast – give your taste buds a treat.[/STRIKE] A friend has given me a recipe for carrot and sweet potato soup, so I'm digging carrots from the garden to make that for lunch. I need to do November's meal plan, too
Enjoy the weekend
Bonfire weekend so try to have some fun with family or friends or just catch up on some reading, knitting etc out to a bonfire with lots of friends tonight :j

Thursday Car Prep
Get your car ready for winter so that if you should get caught in the snow or break down you are prepared. Here is a great guide for what you could do.
No car? Give your freezer a good sort; do you have space for emergency bread and milk supplies. Are you low on anything? Could the freezer do with defrosting?
Friday Bedtime - done :snow_laug
[STRIKE]Time to change the duvet for a higher tog; test the electric blanket; check the hot water bottles for leaks and get the flannelette sheets out. If possible wash light weight duvets before storing for winter – stored in pillow cases they can be left on the bed as extra cushions if you lack space or placed flat underneath the mattress for added warmth.[/STRIKE]
Weekend Outside
Outside winter preparation. Turn off outside tapes. Empty water butts. Put away garden toys (clean) empty out pots which have finished and store. Cover garden furniture. Make sure the BBQ has not been left filthy for next year. Check supplies of logs and coal for winter. Do you have salt for the ice? Sweep up some leaves (of get someone else too) to prevent slippery paths.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Good Morning everyone!
Seafarers wife - I saw this and thought this is so me:):o
"Forgive my flylady but I have sinned, I have done no flying today or yesterday  so after a great start to the week for me, its tailed off. However still have the weekend to go so will update my list and potter on shortly.
I really tried at the start of the week but energy levels dropped dramatically and I am finding it very difficult to do anything when I get in from work. Will need to decide on a new plan for next week - maybe I need to set myself to do at least 2 x HHC before I sit down and when I do thats it!
Still best go and find my masshousive list and make a start.....
Anyone one for a HHC from 9....November NSD 1/10Weight loss - 7lbs from the 41 I need to loose = 34 to go0 -
morning all. dont think ill get the rest of yesterdays list finished as DS2 seems under the weather. woke up crying so i took him in with me and he fell asleep on my chest. he has never ever done that even as a baby! drank half a litre of milk this morning and complaining of a sore throat. he wont let me see it and his temp is ok but when i went to touch his neck i got my hand swiftly batted away.
today will be chilled out now. there is a craft fare on today we will pop into and then we are goin to buy a few more fish for the tank and then home for dvds i think.
have a good day everyone!0 -

Monday Trick or Treat
Today I want you to get somebody else to help with the flying, the more the merrier. Some of you are doing far too much for your household on your own (not all I know there are lots of partners and children who do help) so today I want you to either trick them into helping you and/or treat them for doing so. Any treat will do, bake a cake, rub their feet, just say thank you. If there is nobody to help then I want you to spend 15 minutes doing a job you really don’t want to and then give yourself a nice treat.
Tuesday Do it different Day
DONE
Wednesday Water Squeezes
DONE
Thursday Shaker Day
What do you think about whilst doing your flying? All the other things you need to do? Today I want you to act like a Shaker for just 15 minutes. Whilst doing some of your flying I want you to settle your mind solely to the task in hand. Take pride in what you do and satisfaction from seeing the limescale come of the taps and the shine appear.
Friday Variety is the spice of Life

Ok I am back and the masshousive list updated - managed to sort out 2 bags of backing sheets and casseroles brought from the old house but they will need a wash before putting away as it appears we have a mouse in the kitchen over there:eek::eek::eek:
Have heard from DD - it appears that she feels ill and is not coming home so I will go into town later this afternoon to find new curtains, take the unwanted ones back and to do some shopping.
Right before next HHC I am going to have breakfast then shower and get dressed, let cat in and feed her numerous times!!November NSD 1/10Weight loss - 7lbs from the 41 I need to loose = 34 to go0
