  • Not sure why I'm awake...oh, yes I do - I appear to have paw marks all over my face.

    Splats all fed.

Debating whether to try and go back to sleep or to get up and do some work in the most miserable weather I have seen for months.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Declutter Mission:

Sort through all the DVDs, games, CDs etc and see which can be rehomed or sold. Check all the right discs are in their cases. Dust the area and replace them all. Get the family to help and try to get input of ideas for presents, ie somebody saying I love this film – is there a new/similar one out? - Am very obsessed about DVDs being in their correct cases so thats done, and we did the sorting out of this stuff last week when we collected a pile of stuff for selling//charity shoped.

    Challenges

    Tuesday Do it different Day
Most of us are creatures of habit, do things in the same way all of the time. All this autopilot is not good for the grey matter or the soul. So today’s challenge is simple, try to do things a bit differently. If you always clean a room clockwise, then do it anti clockwise, always use the same mug get a different one out. Always hoover the hard floor, try sweeping it. I don’t mind what you do just shake it up a bit.

    Tuesday see the light
In case of power cuts make sure you have candles and matches, torches and batteries stored in an easy to get to place – no good rummaging in the back of a cupboard in the dark! Light a candle and hold it around the doors and windows to see where your insulation is lacking (ie where the flame gets blown) – please take care! If you have lots of candles then why not light one tonight in memory of all those no longer with us for All Souls Day. - All ready done - was on the preparing for winter thread a good few months ago and did it all then :p

My Extras that must be done today!
    sofa cushions plumped
    curtains hemed!

    Evening all,

    Declutter Mission

Sort through your tea towels, table clothes, napkins etc and get rid of any you don’t like or use. Check you can find the one you want for Christmas Day whilst you are at it. I have loads of really tatty tea towels that shame me when i hang them on the line but i hate new tea towels, they don't dry properly. I've got some that are 14 years old.:o I'm going to have to find some new one's that dry properly before i bin the old favourites.

This is me to! My tea towels are tatty, some I was given second hand by DD1's great grandparents when I first got our house! Some have gone yellow from accidently washing them with dusters :o but the new ones I brought never dried properly and then I managed to shrink them in the tumble dryer

I'm trying to find the motivation to get started. Loads to do, house a mess and everything I ask the DD's to do yesterday has been ignored as usual  This probably has something to do with me saying money is tight this month (DD1 birthday on the 18th and Christmas coming) and that weekly pocket money will have to be I.O.U's 'til the end of the month :o but they don't seem to realise I still want the jobs done each week!!

The car is in for its MOT at 2 today, I hope it passes. It's still technically my parents car so they pay for the MOT and repairs, I pay for my insurance and the petrol and anything little that needs doing eg spare bulbs, wiper blades and such. But my mum has been threatening that as it's a old car if it needs too much spent on it they won't do it
To me that means I'll be shopping online but I won't be about to visit the boyfriendish or take the girls out to clubs and boyfriends etc.
For my parents this means my mum will have to work out how to get my dad to and from his club every week, how to get him to his doctor/ hospital appointments and how to do their shopping.

Right I off to make a start on the bomb site . . . wish me luck :)

Monday - kitchen and dining room
    level one
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe work surfaces[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Sweep[/STRIKE] and mop floors
Clean the drawer and filter in the WM
    [STRIKE]Wipe table and chairs [/STRIKE]

    Clean the oven & hob

    DONE

And the challenges (which i'm loving - thank you Dusty and co)

    Tuesday Do it different Day
DONE - had a break and then did some cleaning. Scraped the stairs first instead of last - I officially hate that job!

    Tuesday see the light
    Light a candle

I'm particularly loving the light a candle as it's hospice day and we've two lovely ladies left us this week so that's a must!

Just going to declutter the dogs then i'll start on my list before I go to work.

Hope you're all having a good day - after a few stresses getting to school yesterday morning my DD was adorable today (aged 12 so that's amazing in itself :rotfl:). It's funny how a smile, a hug and a giggle can really set you up for a good day xx

    ETA.....Here I go............xx
  • Good morning :D

No rain forecast today.... so why is it chucking it down??! I was going to walk to the toddler group - not sure now :(

DW emptied & restacked, toilet scrubbed & stuff chucked down it. I am off to empty the TD now.

Friend & I have decided to give toddler group a miss. She has 3 today, including a baby, so I can't fit us all in the car. I will pop down to hers instead, so we get out of the house :)

Ok - TD.... see you all later :)
