    Good morning.

Well done to neveah on the new job and to jojo on the timely decluttering. Nice to see you, AnW's. Hope you'll keep popping in.

I felt a bit rough last night and went to sleep on the sofa, forgetting to post first. The evening didn't quite go to plan, but it was ok. OH took DS2 out trick or treating (suppose his reward was DS2's smiling face and not having to open the door to strange kids) while I pottered around the LR, tidying. That's all I managed in between opening the door and handing out sweets.

Tea was sandwiches with the ham that wasn't ready in time for tea on Sunday. The roast dinner will have to wait for tonight. I think I'll go for de-webbing the ceiling and walls in the LR, dust the dado rail and see what else I can fit in.

Have a good day, everyone. x

ETA Would you mind taking me off the list for the challenges, please, dusty? I'd love to do them, but will have no chance of getting anywhere near one unless it's something I'm doing anyway.

    Morning All

Kids are still asleep - knew they'd be tired after last night - I'm just going to do the sandwiches and then possibly wash the dishes. I should have more time tonight to do some things as I'm only going to SW. Kids' swimming lessons have now been cancelled - the pool's been closed - so I've got Thursday evenings free from now on so that'll be nice and I'll be able to do some catching up.

    Jojo - nice one!

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

I know how you feel Dusty... I'm on week 2 and beginning to lose the will to live, although I have managed to start cleaning up and moving some stuff back to it's home. I found some of the correct paint in the shed, so have left that to keep the decorator going while I'm out. I need to focus this evening on moving stuff from the study to the newly decorated spare room as the study has to be empty by Thursday when the plasterer comes back.

My lovely cleaner is coming next Tuesday while I'm away, so I'm hoping there will be no more mess after that... I think that might be a little optimistic!

Oh well, better get dressed and head off for my massage. She was off last week and I'm feeling it.

    Morning folks

Hex~ nothing wrong with fingerless gloves, I have 2 pairs, and been wearing them, when it was cold a couple of weeks ago!!

My painter is still here doing outside, been on the 'go' for 4 weeks now, I wouldn't mind if I lived in a wacking large house, but he is only going the sofex (sp) boards and under the eves, the windows / ledges are all pvc so no need to do those, but then again he has not been paid, and at this rate it will be the middle of next year before he is!!

    DW is on
    Rubbish out
    Floors done
    Bin and lid washed out

Torches and batteries all checked last week and work, also battery powered wall push on type light done, it needed new batteries.

    Tuesday Do it different Day
Most of us are creatures of habit, do things in the same way all of the time. All this autopilot is not good for the grey matter or the soul. So today’s challenge is simple, try to do things a bit differently. If you always clean a room clockwise, then do it anti clockwise, always use the same mug get a different one out. Always hoover the hard floor, try sweeping it. I don’t mind what you do just shake it up a bit.

    Tuesday see the light
In case of power cuts make sure you have candles and matches, torches and batteries stored in an easy to get to place – no good rummaging in the back of a cupboard in the dark! Light a candle and hold it around the doors and windows to see where your insulation is lacking (ie where the flame gets blown) – please take care! If you have lots of candles then why not light one tonight in memory of all those no longer with us for All Souls Day.

Oh my goodness... I have a busy evening I think!! Still no plans for anything. Spoke with Mum last night and she is insistent that I dont travel down so will have a day at home also forgot new freezer is arriving tomorrow as well. Right I must go and get ready for work and I feel a bit rough this morning as Auntie Flo has made a rare appearance first since early August.

Hope everyone has a good day and will post again tonight.
