I've been to work and am now bracing myself for the trick or treaters. I think they have got a cheek knocking, but then I'm just a miserable old bat.
you and me both. I hate it. It's the american hijacking of a Christian religious festival. All Souls Day (tomorow) when you pray and remember the dearly departed. Valli entered into the spirit of it remembering Diva and Mummy's little boy.
Bit of a disasterous day flying wise. Just ran out of time to do anything. DS1 is hanging around the house driving me mad. He can't get another job and is refusing to entertain any ideas of going back to college. It's very trying. He is so rude to me I am really fed up.
I've done loads of washing today and put away all the ironing I did yesterday. I've found DH's P11d and am very annoyed with him because he's going to miss the tax return deadline today. I've been nagging him for months. We will now have to find money in January to pay his tax and it's all because he's to bloody lazy to sort it out. There is always football to watch rather than sorting out something that will save you a couple of grand in January.
As you can probably guess AF is due:o
Anyway enough of my moaning. On the plus side I've just won tickets for Barclays ATP Tennis at the 02 - I love tennis so this is a real treat for me.
I will try harder tomorrow. Promise:o0 -
Eh it's been a long day here. Downstairs is a right state from the carpenters and halloween, glad I didn't spend anytime flying!
Need to get DS3 to bed as he is doing my head in complaining and then a nice cold beer. I have to empty part of the kitchen tonight for that window to be replaced tomorrow.
I'll update the stars latter - well done to so many of you!
ETA - remind me to put the new lists up to if I haven't done them by 9!!!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Oh my, it's the first time I sat down all day!
Mr LW didn't need to be tricked into helping, but gods alone know what I can offer as a treat for his help.:o
We've done the necessary S&S, and have also "smudged" the whole bungalow - for anyone interested, this entails lighting a bundle of herbs and wafting them into all the corners and evicting all negative energies - (oh, and a few RL spider webs, too!):D We also grabbed the broomsticks and pushed all the negativity out into the street, with loud chants of "Out! Out! Out with you! Out!"Hah! If the neighbours thought I was batty before, they now have confirmation!:rotfl:
I've been to the Fang Farrier, too, and my new teeth are a week away from being with me, all being well.;)
Right now we're having a wee time-out, listening to Damh the Bard CDs;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Probably before your time we used to have a star chart on post 2 for completing all your flying. Our lovely Toots did it for us but it was a very time consuming task indeed so they were suspended. As a treat for my first week I said I would do them for the special challenges only.
Kitchen nearly clear, will finish in the morning - another early start I think.
Stars next and then I'm soaking my feet with Young Apprentice. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

All done here - kitchen list and challenges, boys cleaned the playroom and got the chocolate cake reward.
Small patches of tidyness really but better than it all being grim like it has been.
