Morning all, our electric has been off and on all morning.. I have a chicken in the sc so i really hope it stays on now. MrA due soon so thats one less thing to think about. Need to ring and cancel hotel for the wedding next week, no point us staying for £120 when we can be home in an hour (plus that £120 would get me 24 bags of coal ) :money:

Right i best go make a start on the lists..
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Morning everyone. Haven't caught up with the thread - may do so later.

Monday - kitchen and dining room
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
Clean the drawer and filter in the WM
    Wipe table and chairs
    Level three
Clean the kitchen sink and drains

Monday the clock have gone back summer is officially over
I know it is sad that summer is gone but we don’t want to keep tripping over flip flops on the kitchen floor to remind us of that. Today gather up all summer footwear, hats and lightweight jackets. Get rid of any that won’t be needed next year. Put the rest away checking that they are clean and shoes are washed, polished and reheeled if necessary – you will thank me for this when we get our first warm day next spring. Replace with gloves, scarves, woolly hats, boots and winter coasts. Check they fit and everybody is kitted out for the cold days which will be here soon.

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs, downstair loo
    [STRIKE]Level 1[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs[/STRIKE]
    Level 2
[STRIKE]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe[/STRIKE]
Clean windows and all glass, including the tv screen
Clean the downstairs loo and basin
    Level 3
Clean the mantel or coffee table, re home things that don’t belong here
    Wipe and water plants
    Vacuum or wipe the sofas

    Declutter Mission:

Sort through all the DVDs, games, CDs etc and see which can be rehomed or sold. Check all the right discs are in their cases. Dust the area and replace them all. Get the family to help and try to get input of ideas for presents, ie somebody saying I love this film – is there a new/similar one out?

    Tuesday Do it different Day
I have hung the washing on the line in a back to front order -should have gone the whole hog and done the alternating peg colours(i have red and black) - will do that with the next load:rotfl:
Dusty please may I have a star for this one

    Tuesday see the light
In case of power cuts make sure you have candles and matches, torches and batteries stored in an easy to get to place – no good rummaging in the back of a cupboard in the dark! Light a candle and hold it around the doors and windows to see where your insulation is lacking (ie where the flame gets blown) – please take care! If you have lots of candles then why not light one tonight in memory of all those no longer with us for All Souls Day.

Thanks for including me in the Challenges even though I'm only doing maintenance Flying on the "normal" stuff, Dusty.

Wow, I got my Monday stars!:D And I'm sure I didn't post enough to warrant them - not to worry, I can put that right now.;)

Mr LW did, in the end, get his Treat - but I'm saying no more than that it was very MSE.:rotfl:

Wooly scarves etc were sorted and tidied some weeks back, as I've been needing to use them a fair bit already! One thing I have done is put a scarf in the car, for those days when I realise, whilst we're out, that there's a bloomin' draught down my neck and nothing I can do about it. I already keep a baseball-type cap in the car, for emergency use (mainly to keep the sun off my head in summer, but it keeps rain off, too).

I've put my sandals away in the boot-rack in the wardrobe, so that I have room for boots on the one that's "to hand" in the bedroom, and my black sandals were reheeled only the other week. All Mr LW's footwear is OK at present, as is the rest of mine.:o Tbh, I rarely wear out shoes, as I go most places in the wheelchair, but the heel bits on the black sandals had broken somehow, and needed replacing.:o

OK, so for Tuesday's challenges.... we're actually having a Do It Differently week; instead of the normal Flying lists, we're going to tackle a bit of the Toots list (Mr LW is cleaning and sharpening the lawnmower in the kitchen as I type):D and we're also having our main meal at lunchtime this week, instead of in the evenings.

Regarding candles, matches and torches.... I have torches in the kitchen cupboard and in my bedside drawer, easily accessible (ie I can lay hands on them unerringly in the dark), and there's one in the car, too. And they all work!;) There's also a couple of wind-up lamps in the kitchen cupboard. I've a whole chest full of candles, as they're something I use a lot of in any case - large candles, tapers, tea-lights - you name it! And we have matches in the kitchen drawer and some on my 'puter desk, plus we have three of those little gas lighter thingies, as well as Auntie Clarice's old cigarette lighter, that was given to me as a keepsake when she passed away (I used to smoke in those days).

    So I reckon we're covered for today!:T
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
