    Afternoon all

I did today's cleaning yesterday and I know where the candles etc are (from sorting out the kitchen cupboards earlier this year) so that's most of today's list done. I'll have to think about how to do something differently today!

Today I've done the bedrooms because the forecast was better for today than tomorrow. Two loads of washing out on the line and upstairs all cleaned.

    Catching up with posts now.

Im just finishing my christmas shopping too.. want some Wii and DS games and a laptop and an ipod and a bunch of sweets and smellies then I have done the children and can start on the family.. I am buying 1 sister a bookcase lol.. but it requires a trip to Ikea so I need at least £300 available lol

im only buying for my parents and my kids coz i cannot afford to buy for anyone else and the likes of my neice and nephew and bro and SIL, they wouldnt and never have appreciated it.

they moaned at my mum coz i never bought them an anniversary card. i never buy anyone an anniversary card and they never bought me any so why should i buy them one?
mum got moaned at again coz i hadnt gotten up to my SIL with her card on her birthday even though they knew i was busy on that day with DS at the hospital in the next city.
then last xmas i bought them all presents, spent ages choosing something personal to them, personalised the stuff too !!!!!! and they hadnt bought me anything. fair enough. then my bro appears with my present they "forgot" to bring up and it was a cheap toileteries set they knew i was allergic to and half the stuff was missing! obv just grabbed the first thing they could find.
kids asked "is that it?" when they opened my presents to them.
then they moaned to my mum again that i never bought a big enough present for their kids bdays when they totally ignored DS1s birthday.

    this year they can swivel!

Anybody finishing their Christmas shopping will have all their stars and snowmen removed!

I've done something different, made lunch on my desk as the kitchen is unusable!

Chatted on the phone for an hour and a half to BF and mother. Time for a cuppa now!

Another bit of unexpected decluttering today :)

    My cat hates me.

She is allergic to flea spit and the stoopid one brought a couple home with him about 5 days ago. The Frontline was still working, as the ones on him were already nearly dead when he came in the door, but the stress bunny has been chomping on herself and couldn't have any more flea treatments.

She moved her leg this morning and I spotted a red raw patch on her belly.

She's just had a bath. Proper immersion plus shower. Almost a Baptism, fact.

Results: One sad looking flea (not moving), no flea dirt (so it hasn't been there long).

and an absolutely pathetic looking creature who is glowering at me from across the room beside the radiator as she rearranges her tail fluff sitting on a sheepskin.

ETA: Cat evils removed from shower room floor before she got bathed, so that's another cleaning thing and probably just desserts for the poor cat, as I would put money on her being the culprit.

Have now managed to snap the broom. Still not sure how, but it was about £3 from Mr S about 6 years ago, so hasn't done too badly.

So kitchen floor will be vacuumed when Minion arises from her pit (Insect day today) and then it's off out to get new broom.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've been flying all day. I've done 6 loads of washing (was up very early)

    swept kitchen floor

tried to find reliable boiler/heating cover - at the moment this is unfinished.

I've cajoled DS1 to do something - anything - please. He has been given money to get the bus to town to get application forms from Debenhams who are recruiting christmas staff.

I've cleared a hot spot in my bedroom that has been bugging me for a while. Stripped master bed washed and put new sheets on.

I've got the hoover out but haven't used it yet.

I've washed all the paintwork in the hall and landing - this took a very long time!

No danger of my finishing Christmas shopping any time soon. I've barely started!

  • WM on, two articles handwashed (Minion has bought herself a top with suspiciously weak looking spangly things attached to it, and I didn't fancy a spangled [cough] as my undies were part of the washload. Especially as aforementioned spangles are black and about the same size as six legged beasties. No way am I removing glitterbugs from the ladygarden shrubbery.

Cat has now allowed herself to get within 6 foot of me. She isn't scratching or biting anymore, so it seems to be helping. But I am going to watch for her deliberately getting between my feet on the way upstairs tonight.

Minion finally surfaced and is trying to get wash out hair dye out of her hair. And the bathroom.

Once she is down here, we shall be off out for a bit of daylight and fresh air.

And she put a plate in the dishwasher today!!!!!!!!!!
