Hi Nice_guy,
Sorry for jumping in this thread so late on.
If you email the details to me to the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject and include a link to this thread, I will be happy to look into this for you.
Hi wd100,
It would have to be added to a plan that doesn't already have a discount applied as you can't have two discounts on one plan.
Hi bubblesmoney,
The discount is on the actual price plan itself and not hardware costs. You will need to apply for it through either your company intranet or your HR department. If you check with them, they should have a form for you to complete.
Kind regards,
Heidi

Thanks for the info - if I'm offered a free phone (that's normally charged for), does that count as a 'discount' if I apply for the employee advantage scheme? The plan itself would be a fixed one that hasn't been discounted.0

Hallo all - and hallo Heidi,
One of my colleagues has just signed up for this, as her mother works for the NHS, and she's been really pleased with the scheme. As such I've been looking everywhere for the list of eligible companies - the person in the Vodafone store briefly showed me a spreadsheet and said it was available through the Vodafone website, but I can't seem to find it now and the one link I've found via forums didn't work - Heidi, are you able to help?
Many thanks0 -
Hi Heidi does this offer still exist and if so any chance to see what companies are included in this deal?? as i know people working in a few companies so best to just scroll down a list rather than thinking of what company their in
Thanks0 -

They need to ask their HR department who is and is not in will change as compnaies change and renew mobile contracts and any published list may be out dated. Different company arms may have differnet contracts with mobile providers to the offer may vary. Some parts of Local goverment quality others don't, some police forces can qualify others won't.
In any event they application form for the discount has to come from their HR teams, so it has to go via tham anyway.
It's just 20% off line rental oer £35 (I think) and 10% off anything under that , nothing off the handsets, Vodafone is not usually the cheapest overall.0 -

Ok no probs, and for me i think it'll be worth it as a sim only package for the ip4 is £41 a month, with that discount it brings it down to £32.80 - so should be a bargain0 -

Not sure where that tarrif came from it's not on Vodafone web site.
Vodafone are expensive thought, I get 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 1gb data through Tesco for £12.50 a month. Vodafone want £17.50 for the nearest plan they do.0 -

Hi all
I'm having a terrible time with Vodafone trying to get the 20% applied as my wife works for the NHS. She has been told by Vodafone she is entitled, we have two numbers, but the HR dept will not deal with correspondence from phone companies.
For three weeks Ive been going round in circles. We tried to appy in-store using my wifes payslip but 'the guy who deals with these is too busy at the moment, and filled an online application. Back to square one again. I have made 14 calls to Vodafone Customer Service dept to date and still got know where. Going to try the store again tomorrow.
What customer service. Wish I had gone to O2 now who offered me the same deal using my employer discount.
Is anyone else having problems?

I feel your pain!
I have had a torrid time of it as well.
At the end of last year I upgraded my phone ( new contract ) and then took out another line on the same account ( Wife's Phone ) after being told by a store rep that I qualified for a 20% discount. ( I work for North Yorkhire Police )
So I applied for a discount on the first line, then was told by email that I didnt qualify!
back to shop... "Yes you definetnly do"... Then about a week later the discount appeared on my account... Great! But hang on... thats only the 1 line its on...
back to the shop. "Oh you have to apply for each line seperatly"...application goes in for that... a few days go by, gues what?
email "sorry you dont qualify"
Through gritted teeth "but your already giving me discount on my other line"
back to shop..."hmmm thats strange, let us email them and will sort it..."
Nope, didnt sort it, check bill again, now not only do I not have a discount on my second line they've taken the discount off my first line!!! ...
back to the shop..."Ok really sorry your having this problem, I've checked with my manager and you definetly should get the discount.. Ok we have manually added discount and all should be sorted..."
Just checked my bill, no discount on my first line and a .97p discount pro-rated discount on second line for 3 days in march???
I give up, if I knew then what I know now I would have just gone with O2 that give us 25% no questions asked.
Sorry for the long post, but belleve me this is the edited highlights of my experience!!! Its enough to make you weep...0
