I posted without reading the smalll print regarding postage costs and delivery times , I emailed pigsback and got this reply ,
    Hi
    Thanks for your email.
Pigsback im afraid has ceased trading due to financial loss. All points were converted into credits and can now be used on Mega Deals only. The parent company launched Mega Deals so that members did not lose out on everything they had earnt. Im very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused and hope you continue to use Mega Deals.

  • The guy that owns the REAL company is having a nightmare & is taking legal action against Groupon/the fake manufacturers. He's given me a code to get a discount on the bigboy beanbag but it's still expensive (as would be expected of a real quality product!).

I'm delighted my spidey sense kicked in & I researched this a little.

    DON'T TAKE THE GROUPON OFFER!

    Original BigBoy bean bag

    BUYERS BEWARE!
We have learned that there is a very cheap imitation of our product being widely marketed.
This is NOT our product and has none of our exclusive features.
Our BeanBags are manufactured to the highest specifications, and are ONLY AVAILABLE through this website, a very few selected resellers, or from our exhibition stands, which we list here on this website.
Our Beanbags are NOT AVAILABLE through any newspaper or group purchase offers, or through any other websites.

I've got one of these bean bags and they are FAB! I got mine from the Gardeners World show at the NEC and have just hunted out the receipt to make sure its the same company as I got it last year. The owner of the company was there selling them and, bless him, was very passionate about his bean bags:) We tried out the Fatboy ones and these and much preferred these bean bags. They weren't as slippey and you can also take the covers off to wash. We have the burnt orange and it still looks great despite being used loads & being left out in the garden all summer.

    Hi Nirroc
I'm the passionate guy who sold you the beanbag in Birmingham, let me assure you these voucher beanbags are NOT ours!! It would seem they are just trying to trade from our hard work and reputation.

Cannot say too much because of possible court action, but would like to THANK ALL the people who have emailed and called us to show their support and disgust at the behaviour of these large corporate organisations.

Just to let you know the cost of the fabric alone that we use is more expensive than the total cost of the whole beanbag these voucher people are offering!!! and that is with them shipping the empty bags from China, to Germany, where they are filled polystyrene shipped from Italy and then forwarded to the UK- you do the sums??? and don't forget £9.36 is VAT and goes to the government. How does the saying go " if something seems too good to be true..............................?

Many Thanks again for everyones support for the small guy.

Many Thanks for your kind words and support. You were one of over 100 people who emailed and called yesterday alone, which was greatly appreciated.
Just a shame a few more of the 11,000 people who took the offer up didn't research further. Thankfully I believe the offers are nearly over and we hope that will be the end to it although we are concerned that when these purchasees have problems with the product - and lets face it a 5yr guarantee? (you don't get that with a CAR) we are going to be their first point of call when they Google Bigboy- so wish us luck.

    Thanks again!
