Back from the supermarket and £55.85 poorer.
Only really picked up *what was needed* although had no list and with OH in tow, items crept into the basket that otherwise would have stayed on the shelf.
Felt rushed with OH there, looking after the trolley, he was an Olympian in the making....
Oh well. Time to meal plan with whats been bought today. Think I can manage to stay out of the shops until next Saturday if I'm strict with myself.:o0 -

A NSD for me today, went for a 4 mile run instead of being tempted to the shops and after my run I was too shattered to go shopping anyway!!! so just mushroom omlettes for tea and will maybe pop out tomorrow late on to see if I can find any last minute reductions. Im not too sure what time to go into Tesco on a sunday for the closing time bargains any suggestions??? I could do with some salad bits and bread.SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350

Sorry but I am having a wee chuckle:DWelshWoofer wrote: »I've decided to do one shop at Mr T's a month to stock up on things like quorn, vegetarian products and things they don't do at Aldi and then use Aldi and the local shops for the 3 other shopping trips for the month. Hopefully it will work out cheaper for me.
I'm going to try something similar..... have just had my "big" order for the month so £50.80 to add bringing me to - gulp, gasp £72.42/£100:eek:. There are quite a lot of toilettries / cleaning products in it ...... why does everything run out at once!
Think I will be going over this month:o but going to try this strategy and see what happens.
I fall down as I have to go to the sm weekly to get my milk and bread (no one around here stocks them) and I always pick other things up.
As it's an 18 mile round trip I feel that I should buy stuff when I'm there to justify the fuel IYSWIM - now, that's a woman's logic!:D
I'm sure if I could get milk/bread at the local shop I'd do better - even tho' it's more expensive for ham, veg etc (the things I need when I go to the sm), I'm never tempted to buy extras there so it would probably work out cheaper.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Well £12.80 at the market this am on fruit, veg and cheese and then £35 in MrS which wasn't too bad as it started at £45 before my discount vouchers. So £47.80, meaning just over 25% of budget gone with 25% of month gone.I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly

NSD number 3 for me:)
I seriously need to eat out of the freezer to make room for christmas food, but I seem to be putting more in than I am taking out!
I took out some mince yesterday, but ended up putting in the lo cooked mince and mushrooms, plus 5 more tubs of sliced mushrooms.
Today I took out some bbq chicken pieces and put in 3 more tubs of sliced mushrooms, 5 tubs of sliced peppers and a cooked jacket potato.
I still need to prep and freeze about 12 jacket potatoes, 4 leeks and 4lb of carrots!!
