Ugh, Spent £14.97 on extra things, and a bit annoyed with myself, although they are things that will get eaten up, so in theory will save money later in the month, they just weren't needed now, and i did want to run my freezer down ready for this christmaa not next. Ho Hum, will have a blooming good go at it for rest of month, and should in theory not need really to visit SM again, can get topping up bits from local farm shop (v cheap).
Take care all,

Well I've just been to collect my new slow cooker, it's huge. I did indeed only pay £13 and the till printed a £10 voucher:D It's valid from the 10 of Nov to 8 of Dec, but the lady who served me said if there is nothing I want, I can use it to buy a gift card, which will extend the life of it, so I got it for £3 really :j
I called into te$co while I was out, I got a 5kg of spuds for £1.50, two packs of cathedral city cheese, BOGOF, so £3.99 and a free bottle of Alchoholic ginger beer, that I got a voucher for from FB, so £11 some pence worth of shopping for £5.50:D+++ Divide By Cucumber Error. Popped to Morr*sons after work (about everyone else's lunch hour). Often do this to grab whatever reduced fruit & veg they have. Am usually very good. However not sure what came over me! Decided I was fed up of us not eating fish & beef because of the cost! So, bought rainbow trout & a beef joint! Put both in the freezer but ended up spending about £9 instead of £1!
I'll update my signature in next day or so (receipts are in my 'food purse')!
I think it is important to treat yourself now and again as you can get really fed up of eating the same, boring stuff because its cheaper. So do enjoy your fish and beef and dont think about the cost, just think I deserve thisfor being so frugal in other ways.Slimming World at target0 -
Hi all - my first grocery shop came in at £19.35 - really chuffed with that! Took mum with me, she's a really savvy shopper and spotted a few bargains for me. I've always bought the "value" version of bananas, assuming they'd be cheaper. They're aren't. Seems a bit odd, but never mind - I got the cheapest deal in the end!Zopa Loa: £872.08 Van Loan: £946.68 HSBC Credit Card: £7000.00 HSBC Loan: £3695.00 Barclaycard: £1721.38 Natwest CC: £392.50 Natwest OD: £2580.07

Thanks for the tip Ceirdwyn! I have looked online and will probably get one, but I am still humming and haaing about whether or not I will use it!!
Feel a bit iffy today - DD2 was sick in the night, but she looked fine this morning so I mad eher go into school and now I feel like I might have got some kind of stomach bug! I was probably a bit harsh making her go into school but she is a madam for "crying wolf".
Have got a sausage casserole in the oven for later, and have two pans of soup on the stove - one mushroom (with the addition of some of my 20p bag of poorcini mushrooms, and one leek and potato. I wasn't going to make soup as I have alot in the freezer but I think it is probably best as the leeks were on the way past their best and I do know that I will use the soup.
Need to go to Mr T later for spread, B1G2F Branston beans and NOTHING else!! Might also go into Aldi to see what they have - they have Butternut squash on their supersix at the moment and the other day I got the biggest one you have ever seen!!! We all like stuffed BNS so I might get another while they are cheap, as I think the supersix ends on sunday and they keep for ages.
I am thinking of making Christmas cakes as gifts and wondered if anyone has ever used the Tesco Value dried mixed fruit? It is soooo much cheaper but I don't want to get it if it might be false economy.Jane
