Please put me down for £250 for this month.
I failed completely in October and spent over £100 too much. I do have an even fuller freezer now though and I've also not put the heating on yet so it's not all bad I suppose.0 -
My first proper supermarket visit of the new month and I spent £23.23
I stuck to my list and even left one item on the shelf when I saw that the price has jumped 30 pence? in just a couple of weeks (aubergine).
I mainly bought the N*ture V*lley bars that were on BOGOF. 14 boxes ! which is 3 months supply :j I'm tempted to buy more before the offer finishes on the 8th !!
Did you know that Approved Food have them on offer at the moment - a case of 48 bars for £3.84!Jane

Evening all, just a small spend today at Home Bargains whilst "on road" with my Sister and great Nephew, found Orio boxes of 6 mini packs with halloween on box just 59p with a 40p MOC on the box for next purchase. Slow cooked chicken today and just had lovely curry made by OH whilst I went out for a run with Sis, a little three mile round the village. Chicken will also do for tomorrow maybe fajitas or a chicken pie. Am now in bed cos OH has footy on downstairs and my feet are freezing and wondering "shall I invest in a leccy blanket for this winter"?SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350

Went to Mr T tonight as needed more satsumas, bananas and soda water. Came out £16.21 lighter as for once they had some decent reductions in our store. Whole leg of lamb for £6.55 (in freezer for sunday lunch), pizza for 37p, burger buns for 20p, half fat sausages for £1.05, and some organic watercress for 32p which I've just made into a courgette and watercress soup. Won't need anything else til the weekend now and £99.04/£400 spentLBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Only 2 weekends of food shopping left in our month and we seem to be on track. (After our scare last weekend ...you may have seen my post elsewhere about A**a overcharging us £36.60)...we got a full refund and money off vouchers for the hassle which will help to keep us under the target of £240 this month. In my defence I didn't notice until i got hom coz i had a banging migraine; looking back, the £80 bill should have rung alarm bells as we'd only put a £5.00 curry meal and some beers in on top of our usual shop!
Yesterday I did a bulk cook when I got in and made enough roast veg pasta sauce to freeze 6 portions and i made 2 cheese and potato pies (with added oak smoked bacon - 30p on the 'still fresh' shelf in Morrisons.) Am a bit worried about the massive new Morrisons actually though - I've never had a supermarket on my route home before - I shall be exercising my 'self control' chip from now on.Mortgage starting balance - [STRIKE]£151,030 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£143,733.28[/STRIKE] £137,000 (25 years to go...):o0 -
I aimed to not have a takeaway in November, and I failed on the 2nd!!
I have a friend who has terminal cancer and I went round to see her with my 10 year old daughter and the friend "just fancied a Chinese" - so I bought one for us.
Ok - new goal - no MORE takeaways in Nov. Sigh!Gave up smoking on 16/11/11 :j

I bought my electric blanket two winters ago now, and I wouldn't be without it. If you buy the right ones, they're only about 1p per night electric cost, and I don't even use them all night. I am unlucky, in that my two children go to their dad's house two nights a week, and I don't put my heating on when they're not here - I just watch a dvd in bed with a cuppa and the leccy blanket on. Beautiful!! Feels like a treat when actually it's not!! Mine has a 75 min or 12 hr setting, and I always use the 75 min one, because it makes me sooooo cosy, I go to sleep almost straight away! I'm going to go to bed now - the thought of it is too good to resist!

Frugal 2018 needed! Saving and NOT spending0 -
I've spent £8.70 today. We ran out of milk, teabags! and pop, so a trip to Sainsbugs was needed (it's at the end of my street, so it's my corner shop) The F@nta was on offer, down from £1.78 to £1 so I got 2 bottles. I got a packet of corned beef reduced (yellow stickered) from £2 to 50p, and a whole rainbow trout reduced from £2.28 to 57p:D Not on my list but it will make a very welcome treat for me:p Hubby doesn't eat fish after a very bad experience when he was younger, so it's all mine:D+++ Divide By Cucumber Error. I don't know whether or not to get one. I have been going on the http://www.crockpotgirls.com website and the have some really (albeit American) imaginitive ideas so I am torn.
I don't know if you spotted my post in the "What's in your the slow cooker" thread, but Curry$ have one the same size for £13. You have to reserve it online, or get it delivered. If you just walk in to the store it's £19.99, but if you reserve it and go to collect it, you pay the web price. I'm getting one tomorrow.+++ Divide By Cucumber Error.
