Did an online grocery shop today for next weeks meal plan. I managed to find some good vouchers on a cashback site (I've just moved house so I can take advantage of the 'first shop' vouchers for a while, woop!) and managed to get £50 worth of groceries for £45 including delivery, plus I should get £5 cashback! That should last me and the OH for a week, and included a few storecupboard items too. My half of that is £22.50, so not doing too badly so far with my budget!Savings target: £25000/£25000

okay I am determined this month to keep on track with the challenge. Put me down for £230. (thats for me, partner and a fat cat) I am def hoping to come in under budget!!
On way to do a food shop now, made a list and checked in the cupboards to see what was hidden!! Also went online to check tesco clubcard points and found £9.50 of vouchers so have printed them and will be using today. Will pop to the farm shop for bits too as find it so much cheaper.. toilet roll for only £1 for 4 rolls, and its not even like sandpaper!!
Tonight we are going to a friends 30th birthday party so will need to bring beer but will get fed and I'm going to make some muffins to take too and even going to drive there instead of taxi so thats a little bit of money saving right there!
I always seem to start off well at the beginning of the month but it begins to dwindle throughout the middle then I end up in dire straits with myself at the end of the month; so annoyed at keeping it up. Hope to take inspiration from everyone on the board, will try and visit every day.on the road to recovery..:o0 -
Just popped into local shop for milk and bread - total £2.14.
Used two slices for toast and while that was toasting made up 5 rounds of ham sarnies for work packed lunches and popped them in freezer.
Did notice local shop had medium sized whole chickens on at £2.50 each so might venture back in ten minutes to buy a couple - that's if they are stil there at that price!

I think I may just have to go to bed and hope it's tomorrow when I wake up again ...... disasters so far today:
Lump of beef taken out the freezer last night was looking decidedly unhealthy - weighed up the pros & cons .... and it's been cooked for the dog:mad: (it probably was OK but having Crohn's tempting fate just isn't worth it) - so no idea what's going to be for dinner now.
Then - have just spent the last 2 + hours doing an online order at Sainsbobs (don't usually shop there as store is 30 miles away so took me ages to hunt through all their products) as had a £10 off £50 spend voucher.
Got all the way through to checkout - after being very impressed with their Basics range and had a load of stuff in the trolley .... and it said the voucher had expired (which it hasn't) - it said to go to "help", which I did and when I tried to go back .... my trolley had disappeared & was empty:mad:.
Really can't face doing it again just now ...... p'd off as got loads of stuff and it would've been my "big" shop for November.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Please put me down for £180. I'm hoping this thread is enough to kick start my motivation - we've been spending far too much on shopping these last few months and I don't know where it goes!MFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000

Hi everyone
Please can you put me down for £340 for November. This is to include all food and drink, cleaning, nappies and wipes, toiletries and school and nursery funds.
I am still working on October challenge until Tuesday.
Good luck everyone.

hi all nsd today, we're all feeling ill again
seems to be constant at the mo, had the coctail sausages and chips for lunch they weren't that nice but we have 6 bags to use and the kids seemed to like them so we'll still use them, we didn't manage tea last night we were all feeling too sick so the kids had carrot and lentil soup and we had toast, so it's chicken for tea tonight
DEC GC £463.67/£450
EF- £110/COLOR]/£10000 -
I meant to add, in October we bought dishwasher powder instead of tablets, it's lasted really well and we have used a small scoop to put it in the machine
In future I will be buying powder instead of tablets as it seems much cheaper.
Has anyone ever done a comparison?
A$da All in 1 d/washer powder £2.50 for 970g - sounds like a bargain to me! Link below.

I had a small £11.02 spend in Mr T last night!
...............I only went in for a couple of pumpkins (£3), but ended up getting a couple of small choc gifts for extra Christmas pressies.
A large whoopsied trifle, which I am ashamed to say I ate whilst watching Coronation St, well it was so traumatic :embarasse................
.........I must stick to my shopping list, that's why I prefer to shop on line, so i'm not tempted!
I have tried the Value Mr T dishwasher tablets, they are ok, but I am having to put 2 tablets in at a time.
A!di cola zero 2L for 39p is lovely, will definitely get this again.
I am going to try and do some menu planning now, have a lovely Saturday everyone - enjoy strictly tonight, should be a good one, its the Halloween special :j
