I work as a nurse and often find patients who are very unwell and due to a change in health need alternative housing ,we often advise that they apply and often they state that they have tried but the forms are very long and the housing staff either negative or unhelpful .Turns out next time i will believe them.

I discovered topcashback (and Quidco) shortly after I discovered this site in 2005. I have used both cashback sites fairly regularly over the years and never had a problem with either of them. (I've yet to have anything fail to track!)

I've bought contents insurance in past years with cashback exceeding premium. And have never paid net more than £100 per year for car insurance since I discovered them.

Would you say you were someone who is able to patiently wait for things to happen that are out of your control Johnny M?
If not, you are probably going not going to enjoy the cashback site experience.
In the 4 years I've been with TCB I only recall contacting them once when a transaction worth a few quid in cashback hadn't tracked after a few weeks.
The rest of the time if something doesn't track straight away, I wait. If a transaction stays at pending stage for ages, I wait. If a transaction stays at the confirmed stage for ages, I wait. The money comes through in the end.
How many enquiries did you make? on how many transactions in total?
    Take it easy Johnny M.

I was making a point the poster is a newbie and some of the replies he has had have not been helpful at all mainly stating the glory of tcb , not to use illness as an excuse for behaviour and the real problems of the world.
(oh as well as someone trying to teach them how to spell)
My first contact on mse was this thread ,and the attitude was suck it and see and the issue i raised ended up on watchdog due to another complainer and i was proved right .
The thing that made me keep going with mse was the helpful posters whose advice was invaluable.
It didnt stop the troll's telling me to pay up ,stop trying to avoid payment ect, when that was not the issue.
I just don't get the people who just want to lecture people if you have no helpful advice then don't post.
I am aware that there are people out there who will try and scam support housing, benefits ect but how do you tell them from the others .
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

I've been with TCB (and other cashback sites) for a few years now, and it is a fact that there is no rhyme nor reason to when payments can appear; sometimes newer transactions can be completed before older ones with the same vendor.

I'm currently waiting for cashback on some car hire in May (it's now November), and also July; I expect it will eventually arrive, but the apparent lack of progress can be a bit frustrating. I think I was diddled on last year's car insurance, where I got less than I thought I was due (but I didn't make a note of the actual amount), but I think it was down to the insurance company and I didn't renew with them this year.

Contrary to the advice, I do factor in cashback when I make a purchase, and I check the offers on the various cashback sites to pick the best one.

Overall, I rate TCB as somewhere in the middle ground for cashback sites - not as good as Quidco, but better than Fat Cheese.

And anyway, I'm getting something for nothing from them, so mustn't grumble.
