    Thanks everyone!

Shopping list was done and I've been and I'm quite proud of myself actually!

We are going Mon - Friday so have 3 evening meals (eat out once) Spaghetti bolognase with garlic bread - Steak pie new potatoes & mushy peas & pizzas (easy one for the first night)

Lunches will be 3 lunches - sandwich & salad stuff - hot dogs in buns with picnic bits & pasta with hm sauce (frozen to take with us)

Breakfast is cereal & toast i got a kellogs multi pack for £1 as a treat for the kids so they can choose a special one each day. Got a pack of bacon & some eggs for me and DH for butties :)

Other things I have is -
    Coffee/tea/sugar
    3x loo roll
    Sponge/cloth & tea towel
    Washing up liquid
    Margarine
    Diluted juice
    Biscuits for cuppas
Sweeties & snacks for a night time ( I stashed loads of easter bits before they got eaten!)

Can anyone think of anything I have forgotten or will need?
    Thanks

I would take salt and pepper too ;) And an all purpose cleaning spray and bathroom sponge in case you want to give the bathroom or kitchen a once over when you get there

yes - take condiments! a tin opener (the last caravan we hired the tin opener was disgustingly dirty), and a supply of foil dishes to cook in. Kitchen roll is handy too - one will do I should think.
and your pillows! if you have room.

Yes I can second taking your own tin opener, cheese grater, decent knife, a bottle opener and a corkscrew for the occasional bottle of wine.......;)

Tin foil, cling film, scourers, washing up liquid, bleach, matches, a couple of loo rolls, rubber gloves, dish cloths.

I also always used to take a selection of spices, dried herbs, ketchup, Branson pickles, salt and pepper, gravy granules, tomato puree, a bulb of garlic, some dried pasta, a couple of packs of microwave rice, sugar, coffee., teabags, breakfast cereals for the first coupleof days, a couple packs of biscuits and if I had time I would make a fruit cake.

They don't take up much room and there's no point wasting money buying duplicates. Saves a fortune and at least you know that you have all the bits and pieces you need to make something tasty.

Then of course I would pack a cool box for the journey rather than spending a small fortune at the motorway services.

Through the year I used to save all my small change and then that would go towards treats and ice creams etc.

Normally that's what my coin jar goes to - but two of the grandkids are off this month for a holiday they never had before - villa in Spain - so I gave them my coin jar for 'Spending Money' - they tell me they got £48 pound each! (I hadn't counted it recently)

Take kitchen scissors - I've just been on a self-catering holiday in a cottage with blunt scissors: I was reduced to using my teeth and nails  (until I could buy some new scissors!).

Hi, I'm just back from a similar holiday. We took hot water bottles & extra fleecy blankets, and they came in very useful! Heating can be a hit or a miss. Cards / board games, some dvd's, adaptor, bath mat, bin bags, food bags or tin foil, flask.

We go quite often so have a standard "caravan bag list" Different members of family use the caravan bag at different times of the year, so the practical things stay in all year round and get replaced when they run out.

Regardless of the weather, have a fab holiday making great memories with the family

    xx

We too are going to North Norfolk on a caravan holiday tomorrow Monday to Friday. We have been to this area before so I know what is where shopping and caravan wise. We always take enough for Monday evening meal and a snack and breakfast for Tuesday morning. Just before the site about 4 miles away is an ASDA so we will call on the way and pick up something's like fresh milk etc. if we are going to an area we haven't been to before or for a long time then I google which supermarkets are where. I take the basic too tea, coffee and sugar in smaller jars which I transfer from my normal purchase size, washing up liquid, tea towels, bedding, towels toilet roll, salt pepper and and sauces again in smaller amounts or little sachets I've collected along the way, soap, shampoo etc. we also take a. Erg small DVD player with us in case the weather is bad or the TV signal poor. We are mama and papa and grandson aged 2 oh and don't forget swimming wear if it a holiday park site. Always take snacks and drinks out with you that saves money and one day we do chip butties whilst out and about bread cakes buttered at the van and a portion of chips between the 3 of us sat on a bench. Have a great time have googled the weather forecast for the area you are going to? Also google what's going off in the area too there may be some free entertainment.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

    I'm packing :)

The kids are super excited - thanks for all the replies! I have a bag of kitchen stuff, and bathroom stuff too - toiletries are all separate as we have baby stuff in with them too and our medicine bag/ 1st aid kit is in there! Wish we had room for our own pillows but with all the bags and the buggy I doubt it! It looks like it will be a rainy week so the wellies & waterproofs are coming too - just hoping I remember to grab the things out the fridge and freezer In the morning!

    Thanks again everyone xx
