Another £2 for me today - off to update my signature now... :j
EagerLearner - I think I'm right in saying that a Sherriffs badge is a 50p coin, cos they're a bit like the shiny silver "star" sherriffs badges you used to get as a kid.
saintly - well done on asking for one...you know you're hooked when you start "needing" them badly enough to request them in shops...!!! (And I speak as one who suffers from the same affliction!).
mummytummy - well done on clearing a debt, and good luck with the next one. At the rate you're going, you'll be bashing it down in next to no time!
Skint_Catt - you need to sort your boyfriend out! (He clearly doesn't appreciate the seriousness of our quest for the £2 coin!!;)).
Keep up the good work, everyone! :T

I have managed to get Mr EL to sign up for this and he always saves his £2 now - he also saves any other 'shrapnel' now whereas he didn't used to. It helps that he has a goal now - he wants a new camcorder as our last one is broken and too sxpensive to fix, so he's motivated now to get that.
We both have our own tins/piggies so it's like a competition and we spur eachother on xMFW #185

Well done for getting Mr EL involved, EagerLearner.:T I like the idea of the competition to spur each other on...but at the moment I've trained Mr P to hand his over for my pot, so I think I'm better off not persuading him to go into competition...!
Mind you, at the end of the day, we are saving them for holiday spends, so he'll benefit just as much as me.:D

Another £4 added to the pot for me! I have got my OH on the case as well, and if he gets any £2 coins he has to report them to me at once, so I can 'buy' them off him! I have found a very good source of coins - I go to slimming class on a Tuesday and there is always £2 coins in the box when I pay. I always ask for my change in £2 coins!

Ah yes - Mr EL was also trained beforehand to give me all his £2, but now that he has his own savings pot for the camcorder, my source of £2 has dried up so I have to get my own
I bought him a big savings tin from the £1 store, which he cannot open unless he has a tin opener, and it's feeling pretty heavy already. It has Winnie the Pooh on it, I keep meaning to print off a picture of a camcorder to spur him on even more.
I also have 2 x clear pink piggies from Pigsback, one is my £2 (and £1...) one and the other is for everything else. The second one is over half full now :TMFW #185

I guess as long as he is saving the £2 coins, then it is OK to let him have his own savings pot  - maybe its something I'll let Mr P do after all!!
Have to admit, I am fancying a Pigsback piggy, but the desire to swap my points for JL vouchers (and the fact that people on the thread here keep mentioning that they get given them by Pigsback promotional people out and about advertising...:p) means that I am too tight to swap "real" points for a piggybank - and I keep hoping to meet promo people giving out piggybanks at Victoria/Waterloo station each morning!:o Just wish I had a child to do the colouring competition...not so tight that I will do it myself and lie about my age, though!!!:rotfl:
Good luck with your savings - I collect 20ps too, and am always amazed at how quickly they add up! :T

P.S. Like the idea of printing out a photo of the end goal to spur you on...may have to adopt that idea!0 -
Yeah, I got 2 x Pigsback piggies in the begginning when I was foolhardy and just wanted to 'get something' with the points I had. Now, I always wait until I have £10 and get a voucher... saving all vouchers for Xmas 07 and occasional birthdays. Have £20 from this month and £40 left over from last year so it's quite inspiring.
Hoping to get £2 x 1 at least today. Then must decide what my goal is for all the £2 coins!
What's everyone else doign with theirs?MFW #185
