  • Can I join the challenge/club please??
  • Hi new to this site/forum, nice to see people taking responsibility for their finances.

Going off at a tangent here.

First off let me be totally honest - I deal in utilities i.e. commercial and private energy, phones, broadband, plus I'm involved in MLM.

What I'm totally not about to do is abuse the system and post links up for personal gain.

Think I'm fairly well placed to offer some totally impartial advice here.

    Two things I want to stress;

1/ Sort out your big basic expenses on stuff like utilities - pay attention to value for money relevant to specifics of services offered as opposed to just getting the cheapest.(On rare occasions the cheapest is actually best value too).

2/ Get yourself a residual income - ok so my vehicle is partially mlm but there are other routes.

    Understand some basic principles i.e.

Royalties are better than exchanging your time for money because you keep getting paid 24 hours per day.

Jobs are great for "now" money, but poor in the long term.

The biggie is TIME LEVERAGE - it is better to earn 1% of 100 other people's efforts than 100% of your own because you now have time to enjoy the money.

Basic common sense - why don't they teach this in school?!

Do not ask me about my business, that's not why I'm here.

Please be careful - do not get involved in anything that does not have third party credibility from respected sources.Keep your job and start part time.Work your butt off!

That's my rant - just hope I've made someone on here think about alternatives and helped in some shape or form.

Please don't start bombarding me with specific questions about utilities, the big picture yes, fire away.

I think that if oyu are after responses than this may be better off on the main board and not on this thread, as this is a challenge thread.

I just found this thread after noticing a few members having £2 totals in their signatures :)

Did this after my birthday last year up til 4th Jan (about 6 weeks) and saved £56 - the idea being to have some money to spend in the Jan sales. Got some real bargains!

Got £6 so far since then... may not end up being for the Jan 09 sales but it's my treat money (that OH can't get his hands on!) so depends how much I get and what I see that takes my fancy :rotfl:
Life is all about the journey.
  • Got 2 today at Mcdonalds drive through took my Son as a treat as his sister was going to a party & he wasn't.
Meal £2.19 gave him £20.20 he typed the wrong amount in the till & tried to short change me £1!! I can't believe how some young people ( not that I'm THAT old:rotfl: ) can't work it out unless it's on a till!!
