    Morning all,
I've been up since 3am due to a jippy tummy, managed to grab a coffee inbetween running to the bathroom. DGD was up at 5.40 first thing she said was " Good Morning Nanny is Mummy still in hospital ?" I told her yes she is but you will see Mummy and Daddy today. SiL2b is going to take her to the hosp to see her new baby sister, I haven't told her that the baby was born y/day as I thought it would be nicer for Mummy and Daddy to let her know. We have had her here since Friday and we're really going to miss her when she goes home. She is tucking in to a soft boiled egg with soldiers atm. BM and WM loaded and after such a day y/day I've given in and put the DW on, supprised it hasn't seized up in protest at being made redundant for so long.
Planned cheesey spag on toast for DH & DGD's lunch, Lamb chops, jacket pots with cauli & brock bake for dinner, I'll make enough so SiL DD & DGD can have some as they will be at home tonight. Not sure what to do for pud, got loads of apples in the freezer so proberbly make a crumble. I must make a start on our ironing pile today as it's nearly reaching the top of the door frame.

    CARIAD Welcome here.
BARGAINBIRD, Glad the funeral went well, it's never an easy time.

OOhhhh managed an hour on the sofa and an hour in bed, so feeling a bit more human now. The only OS going on before 5am was me lighting the fire (with free newspapers and scraps of twigs from the garden!). Now the WM has finished and I can think sensibly I know that the contents will go over the line in the bathroom and all food today will come out of the stock cupboards. Fire still going strong, will cover it with coal shortly. Sleeping dogs keeping the children warm!

Congrats BTB - bet you've seen here already!

Bore da is welsh for good morning I think - but is said more like Borey da!

BB glad funeral went well - difficult days arent' they.

    Hope you feel better Laura
Hugs to those in need x

Ha ha, I keep forgetting that not everyone can speak Welsh - you're quite right Hester and Esmf73, Bore Da is Good Morning and Cariad means either love or darling (very apt for me - lol) Almost all my friends even if they're not fluent have some Welsh from school and even my DH, who's Yorkshire knows the important stuff like 'panad' - cuppa!

Will have to go, shift ends at 0900 then 5 days off - may even get some OS stuff done.

    Morning all!

I was awake again at 6, but we didn't got to bed till nearly 2 so stayed in till about 7:30, also no need to take OH to work, so no need to get up early.

We got takeaway last night....naughty naughty. but i just couldn't be bothered to cook. I was feeling so exhausted all day, but could i get to sleep? no!

So will have a cuppa coffee when i get to the office and hopefully won't suffer feeling too tired today! Esp as i think we may be short staffed.

Not alot planned OS wise today, just sort the house out a bit and cook dinner, Pork chops probably. I want pasta though...

Anyway, lending OH my car today so better get a wiggle on so i don't miss the train!

  • Good morning everyone.
Beth, huge congratulations to you and your dd :j:j
BB, glad the funeral went ok.

Very dull here today, think we are in for rain today. Not going anywhere today. I have a pile of ironing to do. Will take the dog out for a walk at some point.
Started my diet yesterday, so will have a look later to see what we are having for tea. I'm 7lbs heavier than i thought i was, so thats 21lbs i want to lose now .
Hope everyone else has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

    Morning all,

I am late on here this morning. I actually managed to lie in till 8 when the council leaf blower woke me by going down the road.

Beth, huge congratulations, does she have a name yet?
DD2 didn't have a name for 3 weeks we were so convinced that she was going to be a boy!

BB glad the funeral was ok.

Quiet day today. I am going to write Christmas list and have a delve in the freezer to see what is lurking at the back. DD1 has a friend over but I don't know what my other 2 are doing.

Tea tonight is something from Hugh's new vegetable book. Haven't decided what yet.

Hugs to all that need them especially NPM and Lou.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning everyone

Be - congrats, what a wonderful gift of life, I'm sure she will bring you all lots of lovely times and special moments xxx

B - glad the funeral went well, such a difficult time but hope the service gave you some comfort xxx

Cloudy but damp underfoot here this morning, although not raining at present - think it rained in the night though. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Alarm went off at 6.30am - I turned over turned it off and had a lie in - lovely - not often I get one of those! So am now rather later than normal at doing all my usual chores. Boys up and have had brekkie, they will be getting washed and dressed shortly then making sure they have last few bits ready to take away, I'm dropping them off at 11am.

Will be making xmas cake today, fruit has been soaking in brandy since Sat afternoon - I keep giving it a stir and having a sniff - yummy!!

Will be getting a load in the WM and doing all the chores so that I won't be getting behind - will be losing a day on Friday as we're going away. Dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket, b/beans/veg, tonight it will be LO's from Sundays roast.

Will also be working on the admin and organisation of the rally for next year - want to start getting definite yes or no's from people who have expressed an interest - this is the worst bit - people always think of it as being a long way in advance but then want to do everything - I can't organise bus trips, tickets without numbers etc!!! Anyway onwards and upwards - will be getting stuck in and may even get a chance to have a hour or 2 in the next town for some retail therapy!!

Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

    Morning all.

Nice day here but chilly, will get dd to strip her bed once she is up, (she did not get round to it yesterday). Got most of the jobs on my list done yesterday, even managed to get the hedges cut, I just cant reach the top of the one in the back garden, OH can do that at the weekend, he stands on the conservatory roof, which I wont do incase I fall through :D

Want to have a quick tidy through this morning, and prepare the veg and spuds for dinner, mum is coming to eat with us, and she is cooking and bringing the meat (roast lamb) its just as easy to cook a roast for another one, and she gets fed up only cooking for one now.

Saw dad yesterday, he was in quite good form, and had eaten all his lunch, and then asked for cake after. :D

Would like to get in the garden for a while if possile, a few its need tidying for the winter, although I feel I am starting with a cold, so we shall see.

Need to nip to the post office, my final man payed on Ebay, listed a few more bits yesterday, so hopefully a few more pennies coming in.

BB glad the funeral was ok xxx

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all,

thanks for the hugs yesterday - very much appreciated. Feeling much better today. We actually managed to have a conversation without it turning into WW3 last night so a definite improvement! Now I just have the general work !!!! to get through today.... there's always something :wall: Am starting a new course at college tomorrow though so really looking forward to that. I went there last year and loved it - apart from the scary exams!

Managed a NSD yday despite driving 100 miles (usually I need to stop for chocolate :o). Need some salad bits today but other than that not planning on spending anything. Have brought lunch with me and dinner will be some reduced-price steak MIL picked up for us.

Have a good day all, hugs to all those that need them. Stay warm and dry! x
