I mentioned previously about the thread on Say No To 0870 about LBM here.

I recently found some numbers that go through to LBM are 0161 61605xx, 6xx and 7xx (maybe 8xx). Quite a few answer as "O2 Sales Line".

A number for reception is 0161 6160500. Staff numbers follow on. Enjoy! ;)

I've been getting the same calls from 0800 0641087 on my mobile. I called them back and got a recorded message from O2. It gave a number to call if you didn't want to receive sales calls.

So, if you call 0800 0136671, it gives you the option to remove your number from the O2 Marketing list.

Nice to see it's all freephone. I just hope it works

Hi
If you read all of that page at http://www.dynamoo.com/diary/lbm-direct-marketing.htmd -
part quoted a couple of posts back, they give the freephone (from a landline) number 0800 00136675. Might be that there's a few lines.

I've been receiving calls all week from LBM.

As I'm bored at work I called them up and removed my number. Also called them up on their switchboard with some silent calls.

• Folks, I really need some help plz.

Recently I've been receiving daily sales calls from a number displayed as 08080000144 on my Voda mobile.

The first one, I picked it up, and the bloke over the phone said he's calling from Voda, and has some new offer for me. Straightaway, I said I'm not interested, and remove me from your list. I googled this number afterwards, and it's not Voda for sure.

It's been 10 days, and they still ring me daily, sometimes morning, sometimes evening. Yesterday, I finally had enough, and answered the phone. I told them that I'm not interested your company's offer, remove me from your list. This time the woman over the phone had the gut to play the hard ball with me. She repeatably claim they are VODA, my service provider, and said VODA has 12 different depts. She can remove me from her list but she can't guaranteer other dept won't ring me.

After her lecture, I rang up VODA customer service and they confirmed with me it's not VODA. They have received many complaints about this 08080000144, and it's a fraudster. So I asked whether they can block this number for me, they said they can do nothing other than changing my number.

Surprise, surprise, 08080000144 rang me again today. I'm seriously going mad now, and also feel very angry with VODA. How can they know someone out there using their identity to con people, but they do nothing about it?

Folks, I really would appreciate any advice here. I just want them to stop ringing me!

Can you bar numbers from your phone? Some mobiles will let you bar a specific number, which will at least stop them from getting through to you.

What's really weird is when you look up the number (on Magsys.co.uk) it shows this:
0808 000
Type:Service
Use:Freephone Services
Operator:Vodafone
Tariff Band:No fee (inc VAT)
Service:Service

So is it or isn't it Voda???
Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...

it could be a company spoofing as voda to try and trick you into a new contract.

Has anyone else received these calls?

This has happened on numerous occasions over the past few weeks. When it rings, I answer and there is no response... Has nyone else had these calls?
Appearently when looking on google, people say it is a company called RHL (Response Handling Limited).
If anyone has any clues to the source of this number I would love to write to the company involved and give them a damn good thrashing!!!

I know this has been on here a few months, but just recently we too have been receiving calls from this number but when you say hello sometimes it just clicks off but on the other occasions someone has actually been on the other end they say that they are calling from Sky (the satellite tv company) and ask to speak to my husband, obviously as he is the account holder for the Sky package we have. I kept on telling them to ring back in the evening as that is when my husband is home as he works all day but they still keep on ringing on various times during the day. Anyway I got fed up with it in the end and took a look at the phone number on Google and it gave me the link to this site (luckily I'm a member) and it has thrown some light on it. They are NOT Sky but some other company called Response Handling Limited so it looks like they are going to try and sell something, probably a service plan for the Sky box, but if they were actually from Sky as they state they would know that we only recently upgraded to Sky+ with a brand new receiver box and dish so wouldn't need this as it would be under warranty still. I tried to ring them back but also get an automated voice stating who they are and apologising for causing any inconvience their call may have caused. I will see if they have a website to take our names off their list as they don't leave any messages on our answer machine and whenever I get to speak to someone when they do ring they only want to speak to my husband so will not tell me what the call is about.

Well I've done some more digging into this, I looked on the Companies House website and found that Response Handling Limited (RHL) is a call centre company and their registered address is 9 Charlotte Square Edinburgh EH2 4DR (Company No. SC129877), no telephone number given though, they were previously known as COMLAW NO253 LTD and changed from that name on 02/05/91 but i couldn't find anything on their previous trading name. After much more digging I found that RHL actually comes under the name of Murray International Holdings so I looked on their website, their address is the one in Edinburgh above given for RHL but when I clicked on one of their companies called RESPONSE (www.response-uk.co.uk) it states that they were formely known as RHL and their trading address is RESPONSE, Citypoint, 21 Tyndrum Street, Glasgow, Scotland G4 0JY and they have a telephone number of 0141 272 1105 and an email address info@rhl-uk.com which I will firstly try to email them on to get them to stop nuisance & silent calling us. I have also since registered our telephone number with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) online www.tpsonline.org.uk and also with Silent Callguard Service by calling 0870 4443969 which will help to block most of these calls in future. I'll update you on the outcome.:j

Well I sent an email to RHL as previous post, not had a response from them as requested, did get one further call from that number later on that evening but then nothing at all today so either it has worked or they're just leaving it for a few days.:T
• Hello all. I work for LBM, which is the outsource company Vodafone uses for its outbound departments. (Retention, Welcome, Additional Connections..etc..). We offer direct Vodafone products and this is our number. There is no scam and no fraud, part of our job is to ask customers these details before divulging any information about the account to a non-account holder. I'm not defending the policy but merely telling you all that it is required as part of the job and not some crazy scam which people seem so paranoid about. LBM is a large outbound company which has a few call centres across the UK and does have its own website.
