Brokeandbothered wrote:I am worried about the OR and my rent. I rent a flat from 2 of my closest and oldest friends - they are my surrogate parents! I have not told them about the BR, I didn't know what to say. The thing is, we don't have any kind of rental agreement and so other than bank statements showing a regular standing order, I can't actually prove anything. I would give anything for my landlords not to find out, cos they live directly opposite me! I think they will be really cross with me about this, cos it's a big black mark against their property isn't it?
Firstly speak to the OR and ask him/her if your landlord needs to know. Ours did not.
You can show regular payments as rent so that should be ok.
Second - when we did a credit check about two years ago , we were told that names and not addresses would be used for listings . ie name and address together not separately - so if my info was correct then there`s no problem there.
Maybe someone else could confirm or shoot me down on this one please !!!1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

That's great! I shall keep my fingers crossed then. I think this is now my main worry. Still, in about 12 hrs time, it'll be too late!

Hiya,
have a look at the online forms, they are really quite simple. You can fill a bit in, save it and go back to it when you are ready. When they are finished and you submit them, you get a chance to check them over before making it final and even then, if something isn't quite right, they just hand write it in at the court.
