  • Well, I've gone and done it!!! As of 09:50 today, I am debt free!

I am just waiting for the OR to call to arrange an appointment. I know you all said it wouldn't be half as bad as I imagined, but I was so stressed this morning I thought my head was going to explode! But it was all so quick and simple. The clerk took me through my forms, she was lovely, chatty and had a sense of humour. I didn't see the judge, no-one was critical (except me!). £475 well spent I think. The whole thing took and hour and twenty minutes. That was it! I almost feel an anti-climax, cos there really was nothing to it!

Welcome and dont worry we are/have all been in the same boat here. As said the online forms are probably the easiest way to go, take a little time to go over them and you should be fine. Than its a case of finding £325 (£150 court fees will be waived if you are on benefits) submitting the forms and hopefully get a very quick court appearence date.:j
  • congratulations, brokeandbothered!

Well, I have had a bit of a saga regarding my wages, but all sorted now.

Co-op bank have written to us with our approved application! We now have a bank account and electron cards, but no PIN yet.

OR very kindly changed interview on 31/01/07 from telephone to face-to-face. With a 1 year old and a dog at home, the idea was just too stressful. Phoned boss to explain that I needed to adjust my hours to accomodate it (she knows our situation and has been lovely) and she suggested that I take the whole day as annual leave- yipee!!

    It's all good.

    Hi and welcome
I suggest you sit down and write a statement of affairs showing how much comes in and goes out and where it goes.
Once you have that you can either post it on here for advice or take it to one of the advice agencies who will give you free advice. If you decide to go BR you will be asked if you have taken professional advice and will be expected to have done so.

You have not failed. As most of us on here will tell you - generally we are victims of circumstance .At least you tried to do something about your debts in 04. Chin up and keep posting. You will always get support on here.

(lets hope (crossing fingers and toes) that might be the end of it) though with the luck ive had this week not ! as everything that could go wrong has gone wrong ! LOL (gotta laugh or....)

Well Done anyone else that did the deed this week lets toast to better things! (on glass of pink cheap stuff too much!)
