Back again.
I popped in to DD's at 6.30 with a loaf of bread & some milk, DD was still in bed but DGS was up & asked if I'd make him some breakfast, so I did & made some for DGD when she came down. They both looked very soulful when I asked what the wanted for breakfast saying, 'We only have weetabix until Friday when daddy gets paid'. So I made them some weetabix, by which time the baby was awake, so I got her up & gave her weetabix too, DD was up by 7:15 so I came home made my shopping list & counted out the money in my Christmas change box, there was £198 so I paid £160 into my bank & then went to the shops & bought, half a leg of lamb, 2doz chilli sausages & 3 bananas from the butchers, a cardigan & a jumper from the charity shop, hubby's painkillers, a kilo of oats for me & 3 boxes of cereals for DGC. I dropped the cereal off with the DGC & then came home.
I've blitzed the kitchen (I hate not having a DW) had a shower & now I'm about to start making a knitting needle roll from an old curtain.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Hester what a lovely gran you are, that made me smile.
Good luck btb, I am waiting with baited breath to hear about the baby. XIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -
Well what a turn around, DD phoned at 11am to say she is now back in mind and body to her hypnobirthing state, she's very calm and is coping with the contractions and is now 6cm, only another 4 to go.
DH took my portable dvd player to Sil2b and he's taken it to the hosp so DD can play the hypno dvd that helps her focus, Nurses can't get over the change in her. A MW from another ward came in to see how she was reacting to the strong contractions, said she'd never seen anything like it. Not a flicker of pain from DD. :T
So far today I have made a pork cobbler to go with mash, brock, cauli and g beans. I'll do the lamb chops tomorrow. DGD helped to make the scone topping, she has her own rolling pin and cutters from her toy kitchen, she rolled and cut the shapes then put them on the baking tray, once cooked, she watched them like a hawk waiting for them to cool down then scoffed 3 shaped like gingermen.
She went for a nap at 1.30 so I nipped to DD's to let the dogs out. I changed DD&Sil's bedding, washed up, vacumed and dusted and left SiL some of the pork cobbler dinner for tonight, assuming he will be home tonight.
Back home and I've swept & polished the conservatory and washed kitchen and bathroom floors. DGD is due to wake any minute so I best get a wiggle on.
REDRUBY I can't get to see DD because I have DGD aged 2.7yrs old and they don't allow little ones in the labour ward.
LOU Sorry to hear you are so down, please keep posting so we can support you.
HESTER, What a lovely thing to do for your family, you have been busy today.
Thanks for all the kindness sent my way for DD. :A0 -

Wow beth -:j am so pleased for your DD . Have had to edit my post!!! Well done that girl.
Sunny here - lovely warm autumn day - and have enjoyed a walk to my DD's and chatting with her and my niece who is here for the weekend.
Gravy boiling up from last night and about to strip to chickens, so some will go in that for tonight and the rest in freezer. Have a feeling I said that this morning. Ah well - sorry!
Older dog has the runs. She is always hungry so isn't understanding the lack of food today but it's best to let her tummy settle. She'll get a little chicken at tea time. Hope it passes quickly for her.
I have a meditation sound of the bell CD on and my candle lit. Early for me but just fancied it on in the background.
Lame Wolf - thinking of you. It's so hard to feel lonely. Hope you feel a bit better soon.
