  • Morning,

Beth thinking of you and dd- big hugs :)

Half term here aswell, dd is a bit better but not 100%. She went to bed at 8pm and woke up at 9.15am  This is unheard of :rotfl:
Shame I automatically wake at 6.30

Anyway, she's eating porridge as I type, first attempt at eating since Sat lunch time. It's goin in very slowly but at least it's something. Hope she perks up soon its her party on Sat.

It's horrible and wet here so no washing out, instead it's hanging around the house :rotfl:
Hairdressers cancelled my free cut and colour today as she has a bug, I was going to cancel due to dd but saved me the job and having it done on Wed instead. So glad she called as you can't really cancel a free cut and colour can you!! :rotfl:

Need to take more ebay parcels to po :j:j will drive down and just run in with dd, "theres no way I'm walking, it's to cold" her words not mine :rotfl: she's lucky she's ill!!!

Apart from that I think a film afternoon is on the cards!

Will have dd Pork chop dinner from yesterday for tea and she can try some soup if she's upto it.
Have a good day and hugs all around xx

  • Morning All,

Im sorry to hear about some people feeling down - please look after yourselves.

Not much to report from me - I had a productive weekend (I dont go on the computer at home so I am only on here during the week). I did a fair amount of cleaning, baking etc and enjoyed it alll!

Off to town today, Im making progress with my Christmas shopping - I am now looking for a gift for my best friend so that I can give it to her when we meet up next week. Although she's my best friend, we dont get to see each other in person very often so it might be the only time I see her before Christmas and I dont want to pay postage!

Other than that I need to check my bank and move money around accordingly. Dinner tonight is jacket pots with something - maybe baked beans.

    Have a good day everyone
    xxx

Lovely Sunny day here so one load of washing on the line and another in the machine.
DH is working all day because it is half term, which means that I can get on without him underfoot.

Next job is to list everything in the freezers and cupboards and see what I have got left to get foodwise for Christmas.

Morning all. Sending hugs to those that need it, hope things get better for you all as the day progresses.

A quiet morning here, off to the bank at lunch to put some money in OH's mum owed us for concert tickets bought on our credit card. If we don't put money in the bank we'll spend it as though it's some kind of bonus and then not have any money spare to pay the bill!

Defrosting a sausage pasta sauce for tea and a night of making birthday cards planned if I don't collapse on the sofa after tea and the cats don't want to snuggle.

    take care all xxx

Morning everyone - (((hugs))) to those who need them.

My alarm woke me up as usual at 6.30am, started to get ready for the school run...derrrrr it's half term!

Me and my DH had a bit of a barney concerning lack of money in the home - our ex-employer didn't pay us our final wages and the tribunal isn't til January, and as mature University students we can't get benefits.

We budgeted to keep us going til he graduates at the end of the year, so no wages has thrown a spanner in...we have enough money for the next 6 weeks only.

But I saw a hedgehog in the garden yesterday for the first time ever and it thrilled me to bits, and so I'm sat at the window hoping to see it again...that's my OS for today.

    :)

Morning all, Loulou keep going, darkest before dawn and all that, we're all been in a similar place at some time I reckon :( Beth sending love to DD, hope it happens today.

Got up late as I am back to feeling ill again, stomach thing isn't productive, and I have today and tomorrow to be well again before work. Come on body, this is hardly rocket science. Suffice to say I will be drinking prune juice and lactulose today - 'nuff said. Resisted taking my back tablets until 11am as they compound the problem but then I have different problems. Taken them now and feeling better in some ways.

Nothing much to do today hopefully, have to get the house in some kind of order. Dh keeps saying "So are you going to the doctor?" nope, I am not describing this to him, lol. He's just distressed cos I am not up and whizzing around being Superwoman. Rubbish is building up on top of the bin....this must be some kind of genetic thing, can guys not see dirt and rubbish? Ah well.

Hugs to those that need them, tentative hugs to those feeling delicate. Love to you all.

  • Hi all :D
Have bitten the bullet and started to post on things in here instead of sitting in the background!
Today is mighty windy, so am not going far, but decided to get on and do stuff.
I have made my first ever batch of marmalade (looks scrummy), have made a beef thingy in SC, have a chicken stew thing bubbling on stove, and have just tried a dry run of making my own chocolate orange segments. If they come out ok, they will be in the homemade hamper things peeps are gonna get for Christmas. Then have to iron, and take up my new work trousers as I split my other pair last week :o.
I like this new found energy today, long may it last :p

For those that need one, I offer a hug too (I might smell of onions a bit though :D)

Hope everyone has an ok day x x

Swift post to wish Beth's DD all the best; and (((HUGS))) for Lou.

Meg the Border Collie has gone home now (she stayed with me for 9 days, went home yesterday) and Mr LW is on late shift today, so I'm feeling desperately lonely; trust me, the BD doesn't make for good company.
