Was it that woman again (the one that took the loo roll from toilets), saving on the water meter by not having to flush....?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
I used to work in a supermarket
and the things people got up to you
would not believe the usually one eating food and dumping
the wrappings behind things
but there was one customer that used to come in twice a day
and go into the cafe he would take as many packs of sugar pepper salt and sauces he could grab then walk out of the shop :eek:Sealed Pot Number 018 🎄2009..£950.50 🎄2010..£256 🎄 2011..£526 🎄2012..£548.80 🎄2013...£758.88🎄2014...£510 🎄2015...£604.78 🎄2016...£704.50 🎄2017...£475 🎄2018...£1979.12 🎄2019...£408.88🎄2020...£1200.63...🎄2021…£588 🎄2022 £672… 🎄2023 £3,783.90 🎄2024…£3,882.57🎄20250 -
Sadly this does not surprise me one bit.
Go to my local AS** at any given time and a fair number of the clientele seem to think that the place is one huge free buffet where they can walk around eating stuff then leaving the empty/half eaten packets scattered around the store.
On another thread recently this was mentioned & sadly a huge percentage of the replies saw nothing wrong in it!

when i worked at Kwik Save (back in 2003 - 2005) many a time we used to find stuff empty on the shelves or would be given an empty drinks bottle/packet of crisps etc which they have eaten round the store and couldn't wait to pay for it before eating it.:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

Surely there's nothing wrong with that if they're then giving you the packet or bottle at the check-out to pay for? It's not theft then as they're paying for it is it?0

The ones that pay with it isn't a problem as long as it isn't against store policy. The rest is stealing.0

me and my manager once followed someone around the store after i spotted him leaving wrappers on the shelf. he was walking around, feeding himself and his 2 young kids. we picked up all the wrappers & bottles on the way round and put them on the checkout when he went to pay. there was £22 worth of food that he'd eaten & dumped, including hot chicken pieces, milk, crisps and then kitchen roll to wipe the kids handshelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -

I used to work in a library that had a toilet and baby change near the kid's area so that kids could come in and attend storytime or do homework without worrying about the loo. In the end we had to permanently close it because mums were stealing loo rolls, soap and even the lightbulbs pretty much every day. I know money is tight but there was a warehouse-type shop near the library that sold big packets of loo rolls cheaply and a lot of these mums had fancy pushchairs, mobiles and bags of shopping on them. They all moaned when we shut the loos - grrrrr! I wish would figure out that their actions can lead to them and others losing out in the long term.0 -

They don't have to serve you though, then what happens? It's scummy behaviour regardless.0
