We had one MSEer on here giving money saving tips, know what she said.

She was going into supermarket toilets and reeling off yards and yards of toilet paper and taking it home.

Now that really has got to be the bottom of the barrel
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I will admit im no longer shocked after reading the grabbit board now for some time. People go to amazing lengths to collect other peoples receipts, find mis-priced items etc - it spoils the board and its no longer the fun shopping bargain place it used to be.

I can't understand the motive for doing this. Surely it would be theft? The butter is given to them "free" on buying the fish - if they haven't bought the fish the butter isn't theirs. A bit like taking two items off the shelf in a BOGOF deal, leaving one item somewhere and trying the claim the second should be free at the checkout, or worse not showing it at all! No sense at all - I'm not sure I believe people are doing this - perhaps the lady fishmonger was trying to find an excuse for a stupid policy?

    Heh heh.

All the shopkeepers had to do there was point out that most, if not all of the offers are worded as "10% EXTRA Free" as in "On top of what you pay for" and that little skit would have fallen right on its 'arris.

But stuffing a huge tub of butter in your pocket is easily noticeable. Taking a small pack through the checkout isn't so noticeable - especially if the customer has bought a lot and can say "oh, the fish is over there" and wave vaguely as the assistant won't remember exactly what they have. If you don't believe that then how many of you have bought something and had a coupon which the assistant has queried if you've got the item?
