    I sympathise it stinks.

My mum recently dropped a glass bottle of milk on her tiled kitchen floor - not so bad you'd think but she's got underfloor heating so the smell was terrible and she ended up having to take a cupboard apart to clean underneath it.

 MY son spilt an entire pint of milk in the car 2 weeks ago. I've had it valeted but just cannot get rid of the malingering, vile smell. Does anyone have any tips (pref stuff that I may already have at home) to get rid of the smell without spending a great deal of money?

Your help will be most appreciated :T

Do you have a carpet cleaning machine? Or can you borrow/rent one?

I bet that'd do the trick.

The Bissell one uses a detergent that smells lovely!

Hi all you helpful OS'rs, hope someone can help out here. Just come back from SC holiday in France and I put some left over milk in a flask to bring home till I got to the shops today, in my haste when leaving I didn't put the lid on properly and OH put the flask lying down on the top of cases:o

When we got home (around midnight) we emptied the car and this morning we discovered the car stank as the milk had spilt over the cases and onto the boot carpet and with it being a warm morning with the sun shining on the car - well do I need to say more

I've tried to spay the back of the car with Oust and have taken the carpet out and hosed it down. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of the smell?

Thanks for any help you may give me.

my daughter spilt milk on her bedroom carpet once, one of the dads at school was a professional carpet cleaner, and said that I would need an anti bacterial spray to remove the smell, as milk has bacteria in (sounds simple when you know) :p it worked a treat no smells at all.
  • I know there is a thread on here somewhere about this but can't find it. Have spilt a bottle of baby milk in the back of my car and now it smells like rancid wet dog!

What can I do to get rid of smell??

PLease help - I do an 80 mile round trip to work and is making me feel really sick.

I have already tried to clen it with a wet cloth but fear i may have made problem worse!!!
