Getting rid of milk smells in car

  • My little sister spilt milk on her bedroom carpet a week or so ago and tried covering it up with a t-shirt so our mum didn't find out. Needless to say when I went in there this morning I saw the t-shirt, picked it up and eureka the smell made me gag. She got upset so I promised her I'd sort it out.. Spent half the day trying to salvage this half dry half sticky t-shirt but in the end had to throw it out, spent the other half trying to clean her carpet.. Had to breathe through my mouth the whole time as breathing through my nose made me want to throw up. Found some vanish carpet cleaner and attacked it with that a few times, but now I'm worried about bacteria

So I was wondering does anyone know, was inhaling that old milk stuff pretty much all day really really bad for me? Does it have any side effects?

I spent about an hour in the shower scrubbing my hands and arms and face and now I'm quite worried that its harmful, also harmful to my sister as she's spent the past week or two with that in her room.

Also, it still stinks really bad, is there anything you can suggest to take the smell away and also what's left of the sort of dried weird milk stuff?

Put half an onion in the room. Seriously. I'm not sure how it works but it does. Leave it in the room until you can smell the onion, rather than the milk, and then bin it. It also works on that mouldy smell if you've had a leak in the car.

A lady who worked at a car hire company told me about this, its what they used to do if they had a smelly car returned to them.
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!
  • I had a similar problem with a milk spillage in my car. I used a local valeting company to get rid of the smell but it came back within a week. I then found a product called Airvidox which was so easy to use and got rid of the odour completely! I tell all my friends about it.
