    Hi all,

    NPM - big hugs xxx

Bloomin cold here this morning - woke up covered in cats (3) so they obviously are hinting about the heating, DD not quite so subtle, cam out of her room dressed in 2 pairs of jim-jams, dressing gown, duvet and several pairs of socks and, in her best vickie pollard impression yelled 'Now will you put the heating on!!!' I,m running out of clothes to put on......':rotfl:

Washing done and on line before work today, chicken and chorizo for dinner, ordered pet food from @mazon as cheaper and delivered for free:D

Have a fab evening all xx

    Hi All,

Any, I was quoted over £200 a month:eek: but managed to get it down to £168 with the same company on a different plan.

Had a mammouth cooking session today, made twinks hobnobs, chocolate brownies, and ginger cake. Then a pork casserole from leftovers and a HM brown loaf. Also managed to fit in 20 mins on the treadmill.

Planning a nice hot bath tonight and a rest as I have DGS tomorrow and I need all my energy for him. Might try and get some stripping done tomorrow, I am sure he will enjoy that.

DH and DS off to football shortly so a nice quiet evening ahead.

DG I've given up face book its too much hassle with my family and I would rather not know everything that some of the young ones get up to.

Have a nice evening all x

    Afternoon all

My goodness it is cold here - this week has been a real shock to the system for me after being in hot and sunny climes last week (had a great holiday)

DD2 and her partner who were stopping with me for a few months to save up for a deposit have now moved into their new home, sitting on deck chairs:rotfl:but at least it is theirs and they are no longer paying out a fortune on a rented place (the mortgage is over £100 a month cheaper than the rent was) They have borrowed a bed from me until they get paid, when that is is be one of their first puchases - along with a washer!

Started to do a little christmas shopping today, finding it hard to believe it is so near - must get my act together, I know some of you lovely lot have nearly finished! Am going to get in touch with a few friends and agree a no present policy with them as now that I am on my own I just can't afford to be buying for everyone as I used to do. I know they will be fine about it, just takes one of us to speak up and agree it!

Tidied my garden for the winter today as it was my day off and managed to pick up a few reduced bits in Tesco today so will be having chilli and rice for tea. Also treat myself to a new winter coat as they had 25% off coats and jumpers and I had some clubcard vouchers in my purse too, so it cost me just over £20 in the end, really pleased with that.

Right off to sort out my tea, have a good evening all

  • I'm all packed :D but did have a nightmare, everything was neatly rolled and packed in the sub0g suitcase my flatmate lent me, went to zip it up and the bloomin zip was broken :eek:. Cue a mad dash to Matalan so I could buy another case! So I a £45 lighter :( but I did get £5 off student discount, and it is pretty and it's so light!

I am meant to be going for meal with date boy but I've just text him to say I'm a tad stressed so we may do takeaway and just cwtch on sofa instead :).

    Have a good evening all

    Evening All

Happy Birthday to the 2 Misses, hope they had good days.

Flutterby - Have a fab holiday, look forward to hearing all about it.

    Welcome to Tealover.

NPM - hang on in there.

Hope the poorlies and fed ups feel better.

Weather here is awful, yesterday was nice but it has done nothing but rain otherwise and it's very cold too! Been busy at both works but have to say that school is doing nothing for me at the moment, I feel the need for a change!

OS has been ok - washing up to date but struggling to dry, only a little ironing to do. As DD and I were away last week and we have both been working this week the house isn't too bad as I had given it a good clean before we left.

We had our half term last week so am quite envious of those looking forward to a holiday! Take care. XX

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday to sistercas's dd and Shalva's dd, hope they had good days xx

NPM, sending big hugs to you hunnie xxxx

Cold cold cold here, hot water bottles on and snuggle under blankies for the night I think.
  • Evening all,

I'm late today as was 1st day back in work. Wasn't too bad though my foot started giving me jyp after about an hour  So I abandoned unloading the deliveries and was allocated to the tills  Hate the tills!!! Felt good to be doing something again though :)
As I usually work 4 day weeks, choosing one weekday to have off, my boss was very nice saying as I had a sick note for this week I can take 2moro as my day off :j:j Good job as DD has inset day and I have no childcare at all :(

Grabbed a few xmas pressies whilst at work, It's so frustrating working in a huge toy store as all my wages end up back in their hands at this time of year :mad::mad:

OS wise, loaded the wm before work but didnt have time to peg out so that's hanging on airer/radiators/doors etc :rotfl:
Heating IS on, it's soooo cold here, it wouldn't be fair to make dd get out of the bath in this weather without some heat.

Had fresh cod for tea, whizzed up some breadcrumbs and oven baked with hm chips and brocolli (dd loves this) was delicious

Goin to put some bread on in a min, then tackle the ironing, that'll keep me warm :rotfl:

Hugs to all in need and welcome tealover

I hope you won't mind if I join you all. Finding myself at home for the first time in my life with no work and the need to money save to be able to continue as such I am increasingly finding myself like a rabbit in the headlights generally frozen and startled and not knowing where to start. Although not in debt we do have mortgage and 2 grown (21 and 20) children at home although they both work and one is hardly ever here but thats another whole story!

I have already sorted the incoming money into a budget with 'vrtual pots' for all eventualities (hopefully). I have read many many boards over the years so I know the theory but I am finding it impossible to actually get started. Housework has always been pretty routine but now I have all day it seems I have lost the impetus plus trying to paint a ceiling for the first time in 20 years I am feeling my age and not sure I can continue so thats getting me down this week.

Also if any of the Kent readers know of any free groups or clubs or activities that would also get me out and talking to others as I have now done 4 weeks of staring at the tv and the computer with my head in the sand and now need inspiration!! Just read that back and I sound a right nit but not good with words so will leave it at that :-)
