    hello, *nervous wave*,

can I join in please? I'm new to posting on the boards but have been lurking for a while. OH has quite a few CC debts which he's finally doing something about... so we're on an economy drive now!

I've always been ok with money... but looking round these boards there is clearly still a lot more I can be doing. Am hoping that hanging out here will instill further good habilts in me... which will hopefully one day rub off on him :D

    Today's OS efforts so far:
    - shepherd's pie for lunch which was LO from last night's dinner
    - pizza & wedges from the freezer for dinner tonight (not very healthy I know but OH wants to watch the footie and it just doesn't go with salad!)
    - NSD (this will be 2 in a row)

Wish I'd put some washing out now, but for some reason I thought it was going to rain (it's actually beautiful blue skies). Hopefully the sunny weather will last till tomorrow.

    Will stop rambling now *blushes*

    Morning All,
Happy Birthday to the young misses, & welcome to tealover :)
Not been posting as laid up with sciatica so not much os going on.
Had to get up yesterday as had meeting at DS's school & 1st appt at pain clinic. As expected, school have decided that they can no longer accomodate DS :( so am not sure what will happen now, he has gone in today for his own meeting with the head of 6th form so am awaiting the outcome of that, I just wish he would show some interest in something/anything.
Came away from pain clinic with a tens machine so will see if that helps at all, she also wants to change some of my meds as I am on quite a lot & not getting much relief so there could be a rocky road ahead whilst they get sorted. Came home absolutely shattered & cold, now cold is not something I usually feel, so was not surprised when i woke up this morning with streaming eyes & nose, sore throat & earache, so have had to cancel knit n natter & hydrotherapy & will be staying in wrapped up with a hotbot & my tens machine :D
    Hugs, spoons & hi5's all round x

ps have just noticed a plaintive little post on FB from my DD1 it reads " Are we the only ones who haven't got the heating on???" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi guys!

How cold was that, this morning??? I avoided putting the heating on so far but I think it is going on tonight!
Need to switch leccy&gas supplier actually, our old tariff is gone at the end of Oct and new DD quota came for £184 per month!!!!!! Neary fainted when I saw that.
Yes, we have the Rayburn and that is very thirsty for gas, but still!!!
If I change I can get it down to £150.. some difference hey!

Hubby is cooking tonight (if he actually took something out of the freezer) so I can do the switch while he is doing that. It will be probably chilli con carne. He only really does 2 meals... chilli con carne and spag bog:-)) and sometimes cottage pie.. :-) Oh and curry, but too spicy and I cannot eat that (because I am a baby) so he only does that when I am out.

    Otherwise nothing interesting happening today.

  • Hi everyone,

Im a bit late today due to meetings so I have just had a quick look through and will read properly later!

All good with me - I am feeling really positive and in control thanks to this daily thread so THANK YOU!

At work today - dinner tonight is HM minestrone soup - a good way of using up left overs! Tonight I am also going to do the food shop - have done the meal plan and shopping list in preparation.

I am starting a list of jobs for the weekend to keep me busy!

    Have a good day everyone.

A request from me, if you sending me a friend request in FB, then please state who you are on here at least in your information page, no need to mention MSE, but a hint to your name would be useful if not a message on the request, else I will not respond. I do like to know who I am friends with :)

Another one while having a moan, any chance of you adding at least your county to your profile, when I look at the weather, I like to know roughly whereabouts in the country the weather is.

    Thanks

    Afternoon all

Julie67 - my xmas cake recipe is a Be-Ro one, from their little home recipes book, you can purchase the book still - it's a softback book and not expensive, I think I paid £1.99 inc p&p - I can't give you the recipe coz its got copyright on it - sorry, I would if I could. The details are all on bags of Be-Ro flour.

Noahs - sounds like you're having a rough time, hang in there, you do so well, hugs to you xxx

donnygal i agree, a note with the request saying you're from mse would be really good!
    welcome tealover!

It's only half four but I'm really drained already. When I got in I put a wash on then flopped on the sofa eating lidl tinned pasta

OH didn't manage his practice cycle, he covered the distance to get to work but not back. He thinks it was because stuff in his back pockets was making his leg cramp and will try again tomorrow, but he's now considering getting trains :( We both know it will only take a few weeks for him to get his stamina back up(he's barely rode a bike since an op 2 months ago) but he wants me to practice with him! I've never personally owned a bike and haven't rode one since I was ten, I really doubt I'll be cycling 50 miles anytime soon.
