Morning all..
Woke up to our first frost this morning, can tell too as its freezing out!
Was awake early again this morning with DH (His still suffering with man flu) To be honest I don't feel too well myself, yesterday I sat down on the floor wrapping Xmas presents when I suddenly got a aching burning type feeling in my left arm, it was really strange and it stayed with me all evening, my arm feels like I have no strength in it, got up this morning and it still feels odd but doesn't hurt as much as it did, it feels really heavy ... Maybe a trip to the doctor will be in order if it has not gone by tomorrow.
Was in bed by 8pm last night, all wrapped up in 2 duvets & my water, watching Kirsties home made, must say her Caribbean cake looked lovely, wouldn't mind trying my hand at the !clairs either.
Anyway... Housework today..
Polishing in the living room is all done, Sides are all cleaned in the kitchen, Washing is on the line, another load is in the WM and the DW has just been unloaded.
To do: Make beds, put another load in the WM, get washed/dressed, prepare Pork mushroom curry for dinner & pork casserole for tomorrows dinner, hoover all through downstairs, then nip to Tesco for celery, Milk and some pork stock cubes (Can you get these? as never noticed them before) Need to nip in the charity shop too as yesterday I noticed a big thick chunky fleece that would be ideal for DH , as soon as I got home I regretted not getting it .. so fingers crossed it is still there!
Hope everyone has a lovely day.... xOctober grocery Challenge

Sorry not been on for ages...struggling with DS and his autism.....his tactile sensitivity is going off the scale and is now using weighted blanket and trying latex gloves to wear when dressing as he cant stand the feel of clothes, keeps licking his hands all the time to make touching things ok:(
this morning he has rolled around screaming as the carpet feels too soft, thrown his sylvanians around as they are too soft etc.
Going to Behav Psych today, had OT last week, have just emailed her as it is getting worse by the day and I am lost:(
sorry for being miserable
hugs to all who are struggling at the mo xx0 -

No idea what's for tea, haven't looked yet. need to put on BM and dust and vac upstairs. Want to try and get some sewing done this afternoon, either my felt gingerbread men or the taggie blanket for my pregnant friend.
Hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

¡Hola! I am here a little earlier today. Had a good night last night with 4 sets of neighbours getting together for a drink and "supper". Our next door neighbours are Norwegian with immaculate English, she is even reading English novels from me now as she has read up here Norwegian ones. So I made a Raspberry Trifle for desserts, I think I should have made another one, but then I had to explain how to make it. It was a little cobbled together, the sponge was some marble cake I had in for DH, the "sherry" was Banana Liqueur. The Jelly was a sugar free one, and the custard was a Packet of "light" (low fat) custard, made slightly thicker than the packet amount of water. The cream was a UHT carton which said 30% fat (whatever that meant) which did whip up OK, and so I put it in the fridge in the jug to spread on later, it was not as stuff as I like but grated some chocolate on the top as had no 100's & 1000's.

Tonight 4 couples (1 same, 2 diffferent) are off to Aqua Marina for a Quiz with a meal, 5€ per person meal and quiz entry. Then Friday it will be the last night for the Norwegians, so it is going to be a little quiet, our other side neighbours (not attached) are Dutch, and they have gone back to Holland until the 5th November, however, their daughter and husband are coming out on Monday, and a lady across has gone home until the 29th October, for her birthday and to provide childcare for her grandchildren in half term. Two more couples go home on Friday and Sunday. I don't know if parts of the UK have half term this week, but there were a lot of school age English speaking children on the beach yesterday. The wind has got up today 13-15mph but the sun is still out. There is a chance of a light shower over the next few days, but as we have only seen one thunderstorm of 45 mins since end September, cannot complain at that. At least it will be warm rain.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions re the Maths, she is really a very bright kid, whose reading is 2 years above her age, and spelling fantastic, so she just has to apply herself to Maths I think, and gain some confidence, think I may be seeing if I can help. If found this site which looks interesting and does reinforce that learning by heart is the only way. Maybe have to challenge her against DH firstuntil she gains some confidence. I was someone who preferred double maths detention for "forgetting" pe/games kit (that was in my satchel), and the school thought it was a punishment
By the way think I am talking DH round to a dog, we had to get down to a small, short haired one, so not a problem travelling out here, or in the caravan. Must be a mongrel though, not a pedigree person.
(((hugs))), Spoons, Hi-F's as needed, and Jackie-G is right Bramble you are far too soft with your OH.

NPM We cross posted, but wanted to send you some positive vibes. It is very hard with Noah, and it hurts you every time he is not happy, but you have not and are not doing anything wrong. Don't put a brave face on with the specialists, make sure they know how you feel you are not coping. ((((hugs)))Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning ladies, chilly chilly chilly here today. Kids have a half day as its open evening for potential year 7s . Dd not happy as its not for her as well since moving to a new school, she has tomorrow off for the exact same reason though. So silence will be broken come 12.30. Never mind
Ds3 and his friend are off paintballing with friends this afternoon as is one of their friends birthday, then off to frankie and bennys for dinner.I have never even heard of that place I think. Will give them a bit of 'me' time to relax concidering what has been going on recently.
So will tidy this morning and then spend the afternoon with ds4 looking for a new winter coat for him online. As he hs grown from 5ft 4 last winter to 5ft 9 currently I somehow think last years will no longer fit.;);)
Dinner is sausages with something , possibly jacket pots.
Now am going to find my slippers that I suspect are in woofers bed. Then phone my sis to show her the dog suit that Caroline found for me instead of legwarmers for Betsy , oh its quite . Have a peep on my post on Pets page .
Hope everyone manages to stay warm today . All for now.:)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Good Morning Everyone.
Big ((HUGS)) for NPM - wish I could offer practical help, but do admire you for coping as well as you do.
Chilly here too, but washing will be hung out as soon as the WM finishes. need to bake bread today so will do that soon. Hair appt later - wish it wasn't as finances beginning to look absolutely dire again. Need to do some balance tranfers asap. Have hidden head in sand long enough methinks. Down to shelling out to DS I know, but I find it impossible to ignore it when I find he's in trouble financially. DH reminds me that baling him out won't help him stand on his own feet, which I do know really, but...
Anyhow, upwards and onwards and my dear Mum was fond of saying.
Need to dive into the freezer and see what's there later.
Hope youy all enjoy today...w/e is coming soon!Resolution:

I'm going out for meal tonight with Date Boy, either Italian or Indian, we will decide later.
OS wise - not a lot!! Will water plants, and tidy up flat a bit probably.

Came down to a wet puddle from little dog this morning, 2nd day in a row, she has been told off and put in the garden for 5 mins, and so is feeling very sorry for herself, I wouldn't mind but she has her last walk at about 9 ish, and then is put in the garden just before bed, naughty little dog.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
