Happy Birthday Nora, hope you're celebrating with plenty of Counters. xIt’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Dearest Nora
Hope you have had a lovely birthday (Brings in a very large box of choccies for the lovely lady), thank you for your message it was very sweet of you.
Have been told if I'm good I can go out for a short walk tomorrow...Yippee freedom lol been like a caged animal for the past two weeks.
Still progressing allbeit slowly with the babies cardigan.
Today placed my first ever internet shop ( I know bit sad) will let you know what I think when its delivered tomorrow lol:)
One good thing about not being allowed out is haven't been able to spend any money so who knows might even manage to save some pennies this month (Not that I would suggest this as an ongoing plan lol)
Take care all

Hi Nora,
I stumbled across your diary and has kept me entertained all evening, off to subscribe!
I'm a fellow knitter too, currently working on a baby shawl.
Happy Birthday.

Not entirely sure where I thought I would be at 37 (not really one to give such things that level of consideration), but I'm fairly sure it wasn't camped out in my mother's spare room surrounded by boxes and clutter....(none of which is ebayable...pack that in you lot!).
There are far worse places to be, and this is an improvement from some places you have been. Things will improve from here too.Knitting_Nora wrote: »*Picks up self by scruff of neck and shakes* right, well, none of that! Lots of stuff going on - Nora's Thoughts is well underway and still on for going live at the end of the month. Work have confirmed that my redundancy is going through - again, hopefully sorted by the end of the month, I'm celebrating with fab friends this evening (MSE-style at one of their houses with a home-cooked meal, and the promise/threat of "much silliness"....doesn't bode well for my dignity!:rotfl:).
You enjoy yourself!

Evening all!
Just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for your lovely messages (and to Radish for de-lurking, and EH for signing up!)...
Have had a fab, fab end to my day - helped along by balloons, streamers, a huge home cooked meal, chocolate and silly cake with lots of candles *makes note to apologise to the eco lot for the smoke pollution*. Been a wonderful reminder of just how lucky I truly am....and how tight these jeans are...
