  • You talented lady you. I particularly like the gold vase with the red on, but also the little tealight holders.

Hope they fly off the craft stall table!

They are gorgoeus. You are a very talented lady.

Where is this craft fair? Some of those tea light holders would be perfect in my new bathroom :)

Craft fair is such a big term for what I suspect will be a coffee afternoon with a few stalls around the edge of the hall! :D

It's down in Essex (ensuring that my petrol costs will likely soak up any profit), and it's a favour for a mate agreed before MSE - plus it's a chance to see friends and family before Christmas.

Of course...the round tealight holders can be picked up from places like Tesco, Sainsburys and Ikea for pennies, and the patterns are easy enough that you could do your own.... happy to give long distance lessons!

Oh heck, bit of a long trek from Scotland to Essex for a tealight :)

I can confidently predict that my efforts would look nothing like yours!:)

  • As ever, many thanks to all for their lovely words about the glass - boosts the confidence no end!
  • Funny old day today.

Finally set the main removal date (13th December), and received the boxes for packing my stuff. They're now sitting in the kitchen - reminding me that no matter how much I try to avoid the issue, in just a few short weeks I will be moving out of my nice comfortable, albeit extravagant, home, and taking an enormous leap into a new and as yet very undefined life.

Though I've moved around quite a bit, it's one of my most hated activities - beaten only by starting a new job.... and thanks to the events leading up to my breakdown, I'm now having to do both of these over the next few months.

Truth be told, I've gotten very good at assuring myself and everyone else that I'll cope with all the change, and that a new life is just what I need - afterall, it's just a case of putting one foot in front of the other.....and no matter what state my mind is in, or how tired I am, I can do that. It's about being sensible and logical - moving in with family for the short term means I can afford to continue paying off my debts, and means I can wait for work to hopefully sort out themselves out.

And of course, it provides me company while I work on dealing with my depression - and I know it's all an opportunity to evolve into the person I want to be, rather than who I was before, or even the person I am now. I know, no matter what, it'll turn out fine in the end.

But there's something about those boxes which has me feeling a little sorry for myself tonight, so I hope you'll forgive some navel gazing instead of one of my normal posts.

And yes, I'm off to follow my own advice - a cuppa, a nice relaxing bath, and bed. Normal service tomorrow. :)

No, navel gazing is good - instead of looking at your feet and where you are, you get to lift your head up and look around to see where you've been and where you're going.

Here's for the sorry feeling :grouphug:

Have you invited any friends round to pack? It'll help it go quicker and better.

Sounds like a plan Stan. Enjoy your bath.
