But to all those who object to others (like me) having personalised number plates, I can do no more than recommend the number plate that once graced Paul Raymond's (of Raymond's Revue Bar fame) Rolls Royce:

She's obviousley a confused woman,I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Best one I've ever seem is P1LOT, it was on a posh car at an airshow.0

I bought one for £300 in the 80s (as a potential investment) and it's now "valued" at £5,000. I know I'll get nothing like that if I sell it but I think it was a sensible buy. If I wish to put it on one of my cars I'll do that as well - don't see why that suddenly makes me the world's greatest a***hole.
Why such outrage towards private plates? They're no more "showy" than metallic paint or buying top of the range instead of entry-level,
it's usually from people in the following brackets:- poor people
- people who can't drive
- people who think cars are just from getting to A to B
- people with crap cars
- people who don't know what the word 'usually' means
- jealous people
- people who have no desire to have anything nice

PEN1S was issued, was on a Volvo (appropriate) then it got withdrawn.
There is a car in Blackburn that used to have T4WTU, but I think that got withdrawn as well, looks innocent enough 'til it's behind you any see it in your mirror!
DVLA sent me a letter in 2004 asking if I would like to bid for my name RU55ELL - Starting bids at £50k!0 -

If you do want to do it, do it right. If you don't have something that is obvious to read then it just looks desperate, likewise if you have to have dodgy spacing or dodgy screw holes don't bother.
Short, obvious and/or dateless is fine, but its still possible to look like a PEN1S (Its a real plate)
NO IT ISN'T!! The DVLC are on the look out for these types of plates and none get onto the road believe me. If they do escape they are certain to be on the polices' number plate recognition system.0 -

PEN 1S may not exist (although I did read somewhere that it was issued to a white Volvo estate in Blackpool) but PEN 15 does.
