I think I was very lucky having my friend warn me or I'd have eaten the whole blinking cake!!.But she'd got an apron on so she could just as easily have shoved her hair up out of the way and removed her nail varnish.
We will just have to agree to disagree
The way I see it is that it is a TV program. She and her producers want her to look pretty.0 -
Surely she's just doing it the way most of us do? I shove my hair behind my ears but I don't tie it back (not long enough anyway) or anything. As for the nail varnish, I'm sure Mary Berry was wearing some on the Bake-off masterclasses0

I think I'd rather find a bright shiny red bit of fingernail in a scone, than a nearly invisible plain bit - far more likely to be able to avoid! I'm sure one of the Two Fat Ladies was a fan of bright nail varnish as well.0

Oh I missed this show, I really enjoyed her last one so I think I will see if I can catch this series.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

No prizes for Kirstie tonight. I loved her green scarf though.
Is she expecting again because she seems larger than she was?0 -
I love kirstie too, but I'm afraid I thought the new book for the series is pretty average. Order from your local library before you buy, there was a huge waiting list for her first book, but I was able to pick it of the shelf this time.
The crafts are beautiful and as a sticher of quilts and cross stich myself I know how long these things take to make, but i just don't have the time to spend on such a large project like the one that won best in show. Perhaps when I retire !!0 -
Oh no I missed it!!! Got into Midsommer Murders & forgot to put the reminder on SKY...damn it!0

I feel some newspaper scrunching coming on ......
I've just downloaded some of the project instructions from the website. I can remember how to do them now but in a few weeks time I won't have a clue!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I loved the paper rings she made last night... am thinking another christmas present idea!
Am now trying to decide if you really would need a quilling tool, or if I could make do with something else.
Am now off to check out the website... didn't realise there were instructions on there.0
