Yes, Nicholas Mosse stuff is lovely but has heart-attack prices!

Enjoyed the programme....didn't much fancy the look of her scones....mine would look much more appetising and I wouldn't be doing so much faffing with them, likewise I have never used milk in choux pastry which has to be the easiest pastry of all to make IMHO....or is all that just sour grapes???

Ooh, I haven't seen it, must watch it.

I am sure I won't be bothered about her nail vanish or tying her hair back (do you have to be sterile and plain now before you do anything??)

My OH has massive crush on her for some reason (even he cannot explain it!!), so I am sure he won't mind:-)

    I have a girl crush!
I too adored the apron, but must admit the bowls didn't strike my fancy.
Was watching avidly for jam making tips though! I can't wait to shift my cold and make my first batch of jam :)

My eldest DS has a crush on her as well. She must have something

I loved the programme, enjoyed the cooking and the lovely house. I don't think she is a great cook but I still enjoy anything to do with food.

I'm surprised she won the cake competition after the judges claimed it was burned round the edges!

I thought that was rigged, but I am a suspicious old bag :o

Oh come on - nobody really thought those bowls were from Poundstretcher did they?:D:D

I had a feeling they wouldn't be cheap but one of the bowls is 62 euros and the salad bowl (which Kirsty was using to do her mixing) is 134 euros. I collect Portmeirion and I am not adverse to paying, but those sums for a bowl is allot of money and although they are beautiful I would have to stop in my tracks and question whether it was for asthestic purposes or practical reasons. I suppose the former would take precedence over the latter as I would be worried about breaking it. But nevertheless they are expensive for what they are!

I also agree with you on her food hygiene habits - they leave allot to be desired!

I've gained a lot of weight since I got ill about ten years ago. DH isn't at all phased....he says he'd rather I was portly and healthy. (He thinks that I was too thin when we met and my low body weight and picking at food to keep slim meant I was less able to fight off illness.)
