Oh, I agree Rising, I think Flo actually becomes invisible sometimes! And depending on which way she is standing, you may only see those big yellow eyes or the 'unmentionable' if her tail is up!

And with her black fur, it isn't as noticeable on my clothes, seeing as I mainly wear black. Unlike Murphy's white fur which gets EVERYWHERE!!!

I'm currently sat here with my black and white monster on one leg and the black monster on the other!

Jack is black and white, toothless due to gingervitus and has what we term as 'issues'. He likes to dribble, wee in strange places, eat everything and has no concept of personal space!

Daniel is a pure black monster. He is huge powerful tom cat the size of a bus. He is very affectionate and loves to sit and yowl.

We adopted our boys from CP a couple of years ago. They were completely unwanted due to not being pretty cats or kittens but at that scrawny half cat half kitten stage where their feet are to big for their legs! they were also very nervous due to abuse. I have grown up with black cats and I think they are lovely!!

    Errrr...come back later ;)
  • I have to say that given a choice I'd always choose a black one .... Archie's like a big sleek panther.

The only downside I've found to having an all black one (as opposed to B&W or the tortie) is that's it's impossible to find him outside at night. ;)

I can spend ages hunting for him and he'll suddenly go "miaow" from beside my feet. Now the tortie - I can find her even at the other side of the field as the torch highlights her white bits.

that's a fantastic pic of Dave:)

    Thank you Rising :)
He is a bit older, bonier and less glossy these days, but still the loveliest, most gentle cat I have ever known.

We have a 9 month old baby who Dave will let touch him (under close supervision) and who didn't even flinch when DS grabbed his fur a bit too hard :o
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

Tell me about it, i accidentally kicked Newton the other day as it was dark and i simply couldnt see him.

Dear black cat, my computer chair which you love to sleep on so much is also black. With your eyes closed you do not show up and are liable to get sat on and I don't quite appreciate your defense tactic of lying on your back with your claws out to go to sleep - and neither does my now nicely perforated backside.

    Thank you,

The fool that pays the cat food bill.
