Salem is GORGEOUS!! And i'm sure we've dicussed this before but i've got a Mouse too, except she is pure white. ,just saw you have a murphy too, had a Murphy when i was growing up but he died really young.

Finally got the link to open on main pc, wouldnt work on my ipad.

I also dont understand why they are overlooked, i've always wanted a pure black cat, i think they are beautiful. My black boy is lovely.

she is lovely when she wants to be, but she's one of those cats that comes to you if she wants attention, other than that you stay out of her way. my 5 year old DS knows to go nowhere near her!!! the boys are fine to pet, she is not lol

I was really lucky as both of mine were free too, in fact 3 out of my 4 were free, someone actually knocked on my front door when Salme was around 8 weeks old and asked if I wanted her!!!! I couldn't resist.

sorry to hear about your Murphy.......mine is a pain in the bum, typical kitten.....well never actually had a kitten who behaves like him, he's a total loon, even climbs my walls, literally have to pick him off when he touches the ceiling!
  • I cannot think why black cats are not popular. I remember when I was looking for a couple of kitties some years ago the cat rescue centre apologised that they only had black or black & whlte cats! I came home with three!
Them later I inherited my late sisters black cat. And they have/did give me loads of special love and happy times. Sadly one died in July & another one just last Sunday. :( Will always miss them as will my other two...

Why aren't black cats as popular? I think pure black cats are amazingly gorgeous! My ex's mum has one, they adopted her as a stray from the crazy cat breeding lady up the road, Jasmine was getting beaten up and not being fed, so they kept her in the "Servants quarters" (its out in the country, big ol house) and eventually just moved her in, shes awesome! When she meows it sounds like a frog :rotfl: although, perhaps shes not 100% black as she has developed 3 grey hairs on her side (just 3!)
