    If I weren't allergic I'd definitely have a black cat, mainly so I could call it basement cat and attribute all its bad behaviour to it being the embodiment of evil.

    I've just rehomed a black cat..... called Gizmo :p!! He's a sweetie though, only about 6 mths old.

    Thanks Scardey - I've not heard of this and think it's a brilliant idea :D(now to just try & remember on the day....)

    Think my black monster would love to be a part of it .... and have a few days to try to get a decent pic of him (he's very camera shy - unlike the tortie!)

    I've got loads of "part" pics of him, but hardly any with all of him in:D

    Awesome, Cilla will be impressed, I took her in off someone else, same with my first cat, he was black, his name was Harley.
    Black cats are fab, they look great sat on the end of a broomstick...

    I have 4 black cats! Two are 100% black, the other 2 have white tummies, chins and boots. One of the all blacks has the biggest lips I've ever seen on a cat, evenso she is soooo pretty. Sooty, Moonie, Pick 'n' Mix and Mimi.

    I didn't realise until I read it here that people were not keen.

    neither did I - I love black cats! My last cat was all black, and we now have a white and black cat. Our local rescue centre always has on its website "please don't overlook our white and black cats" - I never understood why anyone would :cool: ??

    mine is black with white feet, chin and belly- does that count? Apart from she has a pink nose!

    I didnt know people didnt like black ones. But then I dont like ginger ones- they freak me out for some reason :-(
