I agree the Paul Mckenna tapes help you to sleep. I tried the I Can Make You Thin one and never managed to get through it without falling asleep.
Didn't work on the making me thin bit, though:DIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Same!!! Bought it for weight loss and never managed to listen to it all the way through! Altho I do think it helped stop me eating such big meals - still can't eat the same amount as before but I do still listen so it might be that that is helping.
Bought the sleep one but didn't like it
Got a few different ones now and love listening to them to go to sleep

I've started counting myself to sleep. When I lie down and close my eyes, my mind starts racing with all sorts. Counting stops it. I take even breaths, and if I get to fifty I start again. I don't usually make it to fifty more than once, and I'm terrible at getting to sleep. When DH was alive, I used to ask him to tell me something about his job to bore me to sleep. He was a systems engineer specialising in communications. I'm still not sure how long wave radio really works as I've never heard the full details :rotfl:
I made pea and ham soup today, and spicy coleslaw. Both SW recipes but very tasty. There is enough coleslaw for several more meals, and the same with the soup.0 -

LOL I remember asking my OH to bore me to sleep so he said he'd tell me his life story. It went something like this..
"I was born at an early age, and then i grew some teeth..... SNORE"
He'd bored himself to sleep in 5 seconds :rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Will be popping into here more often as after 18 months of work, I am to lose my job as the company has lost its contract.:( Sad cos it was ideal hours and location for commuting, childcare and flexibilty. Am very fortunate we don't need my wages to cover bills and mortgage but it makes the 'big ticket' items more difficult, eg hols, white goods, re-decorating etc
On the plus side, I am looking forward to having time to spend sorting out some jobs in the house which have been on hold forever, being able to spend more time with my elderly nan, taking 8yo to and from school and spending more time cooking from scratch.
Have only read the last couple of posts but re not sleeping -my SIL has problems and couple of years ago I made her a 'sleep' hamper. Lavendar toileties, a bedtime drink (think it was herbal tea-bags) and Paul mcKennas book. She loved it.0 -
I have bought some of this to make a couple of small sleep pillows - one for OH and one for elderly nighbour who has poblems sleeping - there is a lot of info on the page about how to use it. I am trying to make all my xmas presents this year!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

I always get tired when I watch football, i think its because you follow the ball around with your eyes on the screen and they get tired more easily? Its even worse if you lay on your side and try to watch it.0 -
