The in laws are coming!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

The OH's parents live in Surrey and are of an age where Ma is struggling. Pa has the first stages of Alzheimers and the time has come where they need to be close.

However, they are actually close to me!!! :D:eek::D They will be moving in a bungalow literally round the corner from me (OH lives in a village 15 mins away) so I suspect I will be visiting him more than him me. :D:rotfl:

Seriously, the move happens on Friday so stress all round at the moment. They are good people and it will be good for the OH to spend time with his dad before the A gets him.

Fingers crossed everyone the move goes well.

Whooooooo Hoooooooooo!!!! Everyone has a Christmas present :j:j:j
Anything I decide to do now is a bonus and most of it was brought on sale, on 3 for 2, is a recycled prize or from Amazon or Ebay. DH is going to get his DB's present, so I'm all done :D
Now I just have to find the energy to wrap all of it. (With wrapping paper brought in the sales of course)

I have to admit that I was feeling so tired after shopping, and wanting to cry after being told in Boots that I can't take any over the counter drug to help me sleep, that I went to the food van and got chicken tikka and chips covered in mint sauce for lunch. Yum.

Dinner tonight is going to be leftover ragu mixed with a pot of chilli from the freezer. So hopefully I'll avoid looking like a post-apocalypse surviver while making dinner tonight. I'm sure that it's good practice for when the Zombies attack, but I'd rather get some sleep now. DS2 has our Zombie plans worked out, so I think it is safe.

:) Well done that woman, top marks for the shopping. I still haveto reconcile the presents-on-the premises with the list in the diary and decide whether I shall go homemade Xmas cards this year.

Trouble is, when people know you went to art school, thye kinda expect a bit of arty effort and I suffer from cobblers' children syndrome and the only painting I tend to do these days involves non drip gloss or matt emulsion.

:o:p Do you think a grown woman with an art degree is allowed to do potato prints?:p:o

Justamum subsitution on alcoholic beverages is entirely in order. My sloe gin is not yet with me, but the person who makes it told me that I am having it for Christmas. Tell ya, won't be around for New Year because I just love that stuff.:rotfl:

((SDG)) what a wretched business- are you trying OTC stuff because your GP can't or won't help you? I've been so exhausted in times past I've nearly collapsed and thrown up, it's a terrible thing to be robbed of your sleep. Hope you can get some help soon, hun.

Well, about to be wrenched away from t'interweb so must quickly check something in another part of the forest. See you all tomorrow.

Many thanks for the hug GQ It is greatly appreciated. My Dr won't give me anything for my insomnia because it isn't consistent and they don't want my sleep pattern to become reliant on meds to get me to sleep. It's just a beeping beep of a beep when it's this bad. I could understand it if I was worried about something, but I'm not. I'm not feeling depressed either, but it's staying awake when I'm in a low patch that tends to be the problem. Oh well, it will end at some point fingers crossed.

My brother is a November baby, but he was due to be born in February. So I don't think he counts as a Valentine's baby.

SGD - I wnet through a terrible patch of not being able to get to sleep. I found a couple of things a great help. I downoaded a reaxation mp3 from the Paul McKenna website (free) and played it with earphones on when I could not sleep. Whatever your views on him and his cheesy voice, after a couple of goes it does help you drop off.

Second is a self-hypnosis technique that really works for me now, but you need to do it regularly to start with, when i use it now I drop off almost immediately.

Essentially you need to think of something, either a nice task or a relaxing journey (I think about what I would cook for a three course dinner party(!), but a walk you know through a lovely woodland or along a beach would do) and you think about the start of the process or journey and work your way through it. This should focus your mind and allow it to relax. Once you have done this over several nights you will find that you will drop off right at the beginning - I never get passed the starter!

SDG - I find Epsom salt baths are definitely the best solution together with a good bedtime routine that includes no electronics for at least an hour before bed. I have also removed all electronics and electricals from the bedroom (apart from lights) and try to keep it uncluttered.
