I to have been caught out.
I ordered a fragrance in sept this year and paid using my credit card, (my husband has only just started using it) and then ordered another with them at the end of nov and it arrived yesterday. On opening it, it had flies wings floating in it and was 100% fake. We went to our local boots and neither of them smell anything like what they should. The bottles arent genuine either. Just wish my husband had started using the first one sooner rather than giving them more of our money.
The first one was paid using my credit card and the 2nd one using google wallet. Ive requested a refund with google wallet but is there anyway i can get a refund from my credit card as they want me to return the item etc etc?0 -
Well I got a refund through Google Wallet after nothing turned up, getting the same message as above (Hello, Thank you for contacting us about Google Order #**********.
We no longer allow Essence Store to process orders using Google Wallet.
As your account shows that you have already been charged for this order, we have issued you a refund to the credit card used to place this order. )
The refund was marked as "from Essence Store".
Subsequently I got a perfume delivered, with a post-mark a month after the order was placed. And, it is fake. No invoice or anything, and the postmark is not from the address on the Essence Store website.
I'm certainly not going to waste any postage returning it.....0 -
I am affraid I have been scammed too. I googled this site and did not see any warning signs until it was too late and my payment taken. I have Mcafee site advisor installed on my PC and that did not give me any warnings nor did any of the payment methods. I have not received any emails whatsoever and contacted my credit card supplier immediately. I was advise to call the transactions department. I was advised that after 1 month to call back and to seek a full refund. I shall hold them to their word since all calls are recorded. I was advised they have calls like this everyday. Shall post back once I received my money back. I shall also keep reporting the essence e store in the hope the site gets flagged for the scam site it is.
Good luck to everyone.0 -
I must add, can anyone actually login on their site?
I tried several times and once saw someone else's name it was "Michael" something.
I hasten to add if you used your regular password for this site then I suggest you change your password and scan your PC for unwanted cookies etc.
Also do a disc cleanup on your C drive making sure you clean the temporary Internet files.
Do not do this in your Internet explorer since it will not clean them.
These temporary Internet files are stored in your c drive and not your browser.
Also run any spyware you have installed but remember to update before running.
I do hope I have been of some help.

Cancel my order. I tried to phone the numbers on your site but they are not connected. Cancel this order or I will cancel it myself. I have read the forums on your company and people say they do not receive anything or if they do its a fake product.
I then sent the email directly to CCBill. Thier reply was

Of course I was not pleased by this so I changed tactics. On the 23rd January I emailed a reply.
to CCBill
"I told you to cancel my order since the product is either FAKE OR NON EXISTING. I read many site forums on this company. I am reporting you to the UK police since the website is fake too. I have warned you."
and added in a further email
"
to CCBill
"REFUND MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY. OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES."

I'm usually good at anything bought online, sadly this one went all wrong. I was looking for a perfume that was discontinued, could only find it on a few sites and this was one that is was in stock. After checking the reviews on the site and thinking it over for a few days I went ahead with purchase 12.12.11
.
The order arrived 6.1.12 from Wakefield, perfume fake, top on bottle damaged. I called number on website but got no answer, sent a message using their site and an email from my hotmail account. When I called 12.1.12, they sent email with return address on, posted off to them by signed for mail, called to check progress through week and surprise, surprise got package back as "addressee gone away".
Rang them 23.1.12 and they agreed to refund me......am still waiting, they have asked for my email for paypal refund??? In a reply to my email:rotfl:Am now waiting again they promise refund will complete by end of week.
Watch this space am  with myself more than anything else.0 -
Hi Guys I did received a refund of £ 30.29. However I emailed them back since they kept £1.00. I told them to pay back the £1.00 they had just scammed from me. I also advised them I was writing in forums and reporting their fake site.
I shall let you know if they pay back the £1.00
Gook luck.

Just enter essence-store.com in the search, It contains lots of contact details and a link to report to google so that it will not appear in shopping results for others to be scammed. There is a good post from April last year that contains all the details you should need to make contact and a comment at the end to enable you to report to google.
Good Luck, hope this helps0 -
Hi
Here I am adding my woes to the ever growing list on here!
me and a friend (both internet buying savvy...or so we thought!) purchased some perfume on 19/11/2011 and guess what? here we are on 15/2/2012 and nothing has arrived!! We have emailed the "customer support" on numerous occasions and they have always replied (from the Seychelles apparently....obviously living it up at our expense!) and they assured us in January that they were sending the item again. Nothing has arrived so I have chased and chased and the latest reply was "have I checked with the Royal Mail as we had only paid for standard delivery so they cannot track it"!!! I have asked for an immediate refund again so will see what happens. Like others on here my friend paid with her credit card so should hopefully be covered by that. A lesson learned I guess but enough to make you want to jump on a plane to their offices, en mass, and treat them to a bit of British hospitality!!!! good luck all....think we all need it!!0 -
I placed an order with them mid January and after 2 weeks I contacted them as I had not received it
I still havent after many more contact emails received the products
I am now very worried as I am an oap and my order was for gifts and cost almost half of my weekly income
Can anybody do something about this company0
