Posting on Grabbit

Hi everyone
A quick reminder - that I will remove once everyone's had a chance to see it
You're all here for the same thing - to help save each other money so please do that in as friendly a way as possible.
In the last six months or so we've had many calls to separate out threads about Tesco into a different section.
We try to minimise the number of sub-boards we have and many of these offers are very short-term deals and glitches that were quite rightly on Grabbit so we didn't want to do that.
However, there were some threads that obviously weren't short-term deals and which don't need to be on the Grabbit board.
All our Board Guides are fantastic at helping move these where need be.
Not everyone will agree with which are moved and which aren't but please remember, they do usually leave re-directs that show you where the thread has gone to so you can easily find it.
Please never be rude about someone who's volunteered to help us keep the forum running smoothly. If you disagree the way to let us know is by emailing forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and not posting on the forum.
Thank you

I spent an hour this morning trying to find where the Tesco grabbits had been moved too unnecessarily, and there was no links from the grabbit board to them. If board guides want to move them elsewhere then can you at least have a sticky to tell us where to post Tesco grabbits and where to find them as people are missing out on time-limited good deals, for example this morning 500g of mince going through £1 a pack was moved - if that's not a grabbit I don't know what is.Comping wishlist for 2017
1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuffThe more you put into life, the more you get out0 -
Andrea, I agree that not all will like whats been moved and what hasnt, but would you not agree that over 92% of the voters want the grabbits left and surely that counts for something. Fair enough not the long term ones, but as someone mentioned, the pork mince one. That lasted all of about 10 minutes before it was pulled, where as the express rice one lasted for ages.
I've never been rude to any of the mods or even made comments about them and I fully appreciate them doing the job they do. It just seems that it may have been a little over zealous in what was pulled and what was left;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
So this is pretty much how Grabbit looks at the moment. Where do you draw the line exactly?
70% off Pans at Tesco (Voucher Collect) (not very short term and requires a huge spend, should be on Vouchers, no?)
Mecca Bingo online - Deposit £15 get £15 free play + £15 cashback from Quidco! (should this be on Gambling?)
Wrigleys Extra chewing gum - win a fiver competition - should make you a profit (a competition)
£5 Tesco voucher Daily Mail Rewards Club (Again, a voucher?)
Tesco Pringle Glitch - See link from HUKD -> Pringles Tubes (165g) - 25p @ Tesco EXP (is this not a grocery item?)
Tesco glitch on Uncle Ben's rice/risotto, Free! (same again)
Yet these are NOT on Grabbit
Tesco Finest Pork Mince (a short lived glitch/error)
Amazon Grocery 10 x 433ml Fairy Liquid £4.67 (massive reduction that keeps changing price)
Galaxy at Tesco, double discount. (a price glitch, so short lived)
Tesco Wholewheat Penne 22p! (while stocks last, lots of stores already ran out)
Free Philadelphia at Sainsbury's(a freebie with a voucher, if we want to be picky)
Airwick Freshmatic Max 2p @ Asda Instore (obviously in the same league as the Tesco 1p thread which MSE themselves took the OP from and left in Grabbit)Internet earnings:
Swagbucks - £748
InstaGC -£73
Nielsen Mobile - £70
Mobile Trends - £19.50
iPoll - £150 -
92% say it ain't broke so don't fix it! For crying out loud, does Martin not believe in democracy???0

As you said 92% of your vote which I am sure you are aware is not 92% of mser's its in fact a very tiny amount compared with amount of people who use this forumAndrea, I agree that not all will agree with whats been moved and what hasnt, but would you not agree that 92% of the voters want the grabbits left and surely that counts for something.0

Hi nikkilala
Yep, I'm keeping an eye on the poll and it's useful to gauge opinion but it's worth remembering it's been linked to on threads people who don't want threads moved are posting on so may be skewed somewhat.
Just a reminder as well, Board Guides are volunteer forum users - they don't see every thread and we don't expect them to at all - if there are threads you feel aren't Grabbits but are on here then you need to send the links to the board guides to suggest they take a look.Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Thank you for that:) The only reason that I've posted the link in a few places is so as people are aware that their is a poll, as it was moved very quickly from the grabbit board. Could the poll not be made into a sticky on the grabbit board so as everyone who uses the grabbit board could see it and vote?Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
While you're here, any chance these threads could be merged to one rules thread as they take up a lot of space
