Just got my email about the cancellation and having make a call of shame. I feel sorry for the people getting my homemade sweets for Christmas instead.
Take it that F+M will try to make a few quid from the people that don't phone up to request a refund.0 -
I fancy a bit of toffee now, but it's probably a good thing, the last time I ate toffee it cost me £800 because it pulled out a crown which I then bit and smashed.
So, I just called, the guy wanted to know who had sent the email. Anyway, he is going to pass on my request for a refund, um thanks for that! I told him he didn't have to if he was prepared to sell me the items for the price I paid. He laughed, which I took to be a no.:A

Pass on your request... who to? Did he take you card details? I'm not sure I am happy to have my card details passed around, I would have thought they could have not 'claimed' the pending transactions as they wouldn't have actually been paid out by our banks yet.0 -

I agree, can just imagine our card details being written on a scrap of paper and left lying around.
Not very professional if they can't refund automatically after just 12 hours.
I will be emailing them asking for a refund as it would cost me to phone:money:.0 -
Just phoned them, the poor bloke on the phone sounded every so weary.0

surley if they dont 'claim' the money we will get it back eventually? what if they take it out of our banks and says on our statement Fortnum & Mason £6.95 surley they have already taken our money?
I didnt expect to get this honoured but i cant see why they cant just refund us without us phoning them!0 -
im not happy to give some random person my card details over the telephone - gonna write them an e-mail later on and ask them to refund the money, ive just spoken to my bank and there is a way they can do it without giving my card details over.
Dont care if it is F&M or the bloody Queen i give my card details to no one - cant trust anyone these days even if they are the Queens grocer, she probably never pays her bill LOL0
