  • Angry Bear, your exercise regime is incredibly impressive and inspiring... I unfortunately lack the motivation to that sort of exercise.

Today hasnt been the greatest. You know when you start to feel better after being sick, the munchie hit, well they hit me hard today.

Breakfast: started off well - dry cornflakes and a slice of bread (still wasnt feeling great so didnt want to go overboard)
Snack: breakfast bar type thing and some other snack, which i have no idea what it was, the joy of living in another country where you cant understand the language, half the time you are guessing what you are eating)
    Lunch: a marmite sandwhich
Snack: disaster - 6 choc chip cookies and a snickers bar
Dinner: pasta that id frozen from the other day, and then a random fruit that i have no idea what it is, it looks like an orange tomato, has the consistency of a dry apple and tastes somewhere inbetween and apple and a pear.

So not been a great day :(

To everyone else, good luck and keep going

I am happy today that there seemed to be too much food on my plate for me to eat. At one time, I used to feel hungry all the time.

Now the trick has to be to try to cook smaller amounts where possible. I steamed some new potatoes to have with salad (how can you justify the steamer for just 2 small potatoes? there is only me) so today I have put the extra aside for tomorrow.

Didn't get change to log on last night but yesterday was a fairly good day. Missed brekky so had a cereal bar at work, cheese salad baguette for lunch and slow cooker chicken (done in tomatoes, soy sauce, onions, worcester sauce) with veg for tea. Miraculously avoided the vending machine at work despite being on 6.45 finish. Went for a run when I got home. OH had bought me a Terry's chocolate orange (a whole orange, not a bar!!) and a bag of mini cookies but both of them are still on the table untouched.....yay me!

Today had porridge for breakfast, and cos I had such a busy day I only had time for a cup-a-soup for lunch. Was late getting home again cos went to visit my dad so ended up with a Spaghetti Carbonara ready meal. No running for me cos it's raining so will go and get in bed soon with laptop whilst OH watches the football

Oh, and the goodies are still untouched.......don't know how long for :-D

Sadly, I lurves me food and it makes the weight loss go slowly.
Weighed in today for a measly -1lb - still, a loss is a loss. :o

Oh, and put in another 2hrs exercise.

Spoke too soon, ended up getting chips for tea as only had 20 mins to get to a meeting this evening so no time to go home first and they were an easy option. They are on my banned list now.

I like banning foods, it seems to be the only way I can function. I'm not missing chocolate at all now even though I have a lot in the house. While they are in an unopened box, I am alright, but once opened I cannot resist them. And I finished off some cake, but now that's gone, I'm ok

  • Hi folks. Too tired last night to even log on. Bought a cross trainer yesterday so I managed about 7 minutes on it this morning :rotfl:Sweat was lashing off of me and legs were like jelly even after that short time but hey ho I am sure i CAN BUILD IT UP AS i GO ALONG. I have been awful this week and I cant see it getting much better. I have a really full social weekend and lots of food and drink included. I will try and fit in as much walking as I can as well as going onto cross trainer. I am sitting here like a wee fat buddha lol and I am stuffed to the neck with food :o. Oh well.

  • Yesterday wasnt too bad, except for the fact that I think I ate bread for every meal :eek: But as far as I can remember there was very little snacking...

Today has been pretty decent too

    Breakfast: cornflakes
Snack: a roasted chestnut and 2 mandarins
Lunch: cream cheese and cucumber sandwich and a raw green pepper to snack on
    Snack: banana

Not a chocolate or biscuit in site :j

I was offered rice cakes (not the rice cakes we are used to back home, a totally different type of snack in Korea). It is essentially rice that has been beaten to a pulp and often has nuts and seeds added to it. Or some kind of sweet paste. They have really grown on me in the past 6 months. Although i did resist.

Tomorrow I am meant to be going for a hike with some friends, weather pending and then Indian for dinner... I will however try and snack on only fruit and vegetables.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
  • Hi guys. Well after all my good intentions I have been a nightmare this week. I have been so busy I have not had time to plan meals and my section in work has been full of sweets so I have not been able to resist them. Cross trainer is gathering dust in the lounge.

I have a day out in Glasgow today. I am off to see dirty dancing and going for dinner with my mum . Tomorrow I am off to the 'girls day out in SECC' nad then for dinner with friends . What are my chances of being good this weekend ?? :rotfl:. Have a lovely weekend folks and back here on Monday with diet hats on

  • Well guys happy Monday!
back from wekend in Dundee where there was much restraint in both the money and food departments!
I have finally weighed myself after 2 weeks and the damage is......................................
    -1lb!
Not a lot but considering the last 2 weeks a miracle! Will put in more effort this week.
Also i think i will be better becasue i have not bought so many snacks and also i don't want to go throght to the kitchen in the main house to get yummy stuff- so that should curb the after work munchies!

  • Hello :D

Just found this thread and I'm hoping it'll keep me on the straight and narrow!

Quick question for those doing 30 Day Shred - I just started today (love Jillian) but what do I do tomorrow? The same workout or the next level? I was thinking 10 days at Level 1, 10 at Level 2 and 10 at Level 3
