Moooooving back to DFW - one Fresian's continued adventures in debt-busting

I think having children or animals compounds the likelihood of 'unexpecteds' too
My viewpoint on my savings is that when it's nearly time to repay the loan I'll empty them and use the £100 per month saved on loan payments to build them up again. I've done it before and I can do it again. I do think I made the right choice to borrow a little more to keep my savings in tact though - the peace of mind is really worthwhile.
Off to get comfy in front of the telly now - have sniffles lurking in my head so it's time for cold meds and a nice cup of decaf tea

Oh boo! Hope you don't end up poorly sick. My 2 [STRIKE]animals[/STRIKE] children are full of germs at the moment. I can get up in the night and distribute calpol without opening my eyes now lol
Happy relaxingOne step at a time0 -
I was tempted by the Lovefilm offer. Regret not doing it now! Although our internet usage nearly hits the limit each month anyway.
OH is convinced we can only get BT as we live nowhere near an exchange and they charge us like £30 a month but I think we need to investigate.
Hes not hopeless with money but I am sure I could whip him more into MSE stylee if I had some control! I miss controlling the money like I could with my ex! :rotfl:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
I've got no idea about broadband suppliers. We've been with Virgin since they were Telewest and I'm quite happy with them - no download limits either :j

Money
PAD/Spends - £65
Purse - £10
Entertainment - £23.21
Groceries - £123.55
Christmas - £59.53
21 days till payday
Things aren't looking too bad pennies-wise at the moment. I'm trying to get NSDs but the bloomin' Amazon sale has been bad for my financial health. I'm pledging to buy nothing from there today though so if I do that I will hit my target of 10 NSDs for November.
I got a free energy monitor through the post this week (not sure if I mentioned this or not!) and it's been a real eye-opener. The kettle/washing machine especially!
I've requested to withdraw my Paypal balance. There's only about £11 in there, but better in my bank account than waiting to tempt me with "bargains"! I haven't done any crafting for a week, even though I have an order to fill by next weekend, so no more buying until I make something with all my stash
Better dash - have to get ready for work, finish the dishes, hang out the washing and change the beds, all in less than an hour

Very quick post as need to head back to work in two minutes...
Lovefilm has arrived. Well, a packet too thick for my letterbox has anyway so I'll go and pick that up tomorrow
Also arriving, a week ahead of schedule, is the cheque for my sharescheme :j :j :j Thinking about going to the bank after work to pay it in, but need to check clearance times as I think it takes the same time if I pay in after 3.30 today as if I pay in on Monday.
Still nowt spent, but waiting to hear if Mr F is returning from the north today. If he is I will have to spend money on milk as he won't be impressed that there is about 100ml in the house :rotfl: :rotfl:

The cheque got paid in this afternoon, so I'll have £721 in my paws on Thursday. I'm going to formulate a plan tomorrow as to how it's going to be spent/saved though. Some of it is going to be my post-Christmas sales budget, as I am now wearing all of my clothes baggy. This is not a good look
Mr F was meant to be coming home today but got delayedThis kept my NSD in tact and means I have hit my target of 10 :j He'll be home tomorrow, so I will make sure and have milk/white bread/cake in the house for him. There goes the food budget :rotfl::rotfl:

Hmmm...should be hooves yes
Mr Fresian just called and he's on his way home :j :j He should be home by four this afternoon so I have a few hours to get the house in shape and get to the shops for food. My hoover is "out for delivery" so I can't leave the house until it arrives :rotfl:
My "to do" list for today is as follows:
- Do last of the dishes
- Tidy up craft stuff and put it back in the craft room - was colouring while watching the telly last night
- Strip and change bed
- Clean bathroom
- Start tidying craft room
- Make up bed in craft room as have a friend staying next weekend and there's no space for a person
- Hang up washing
- Leeks
- Brocolli
- Cabbage
- Onions
- Potatoes (all Aldi super 6 this week)
- Carrots
- Celery
- Cannellini beans (I'm making minestrone, om nom nom!)
- Bread for me
- Bread for Mr F
- Milk
- Fruit
- Sandwich stuff
- Biscuity things for Mr F (to keep him away from my Fat Club chocolates!)

Off to Aldi now, aiming to come in under £15 for the shopping, then meeting a friend for a cup of tea
