I love the pic of Alan in his suit at the Royal Scotsman. I paid a tribute to him on the Make £10 a day thread, but I think I called it the Flying Scotsman! after all, that is where I met you both.

It certainly was where we met Aesop, on the Make £10 a Month thread, when I was raising cash toward our expenses for that 'holiday of a lifetime'. Although my cousin & her OH were paying for us and, in total, 36 friends and family, to do that fantastic trip around Scotland to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary, it still meant lots of expense for us. But, all our clothes, including my evening dresses and Alan's suits, all came from car boots and charity shops. The only thing we bought in 'proper' shops were our dress shoes :rotfl: :rotfl::money: :money:

Dragon, I meant to say to you, if you are having trouble posting, due to your hands, try and get Dragon software, that will post for you, you just speak and it types for you.

I have seen it in charity shops for as little as £10.

susan, if you get 5 mins please look at the closed elite thread, we all raised a drink to alan and your good self at 8pm.the day after alan passed. the turn out was really good.
