Beanie's right, Susan (as always), your emotions are all over the place and something really simple could easily set you off.

Good news that Molly is OK and fingers crossed that either the Macmillan nurse or your GP can sort out Alan's meds tomorrow.

    (((Hugs))) to you both

    Hi Susan

    (((((((((((((((Susan and Alan)))))))))))))))

Susan, be gentle to yourself. You are both going through a really hard time, and to be honest, yes you made a mistake about the week the offer was on.

But honestly, where is their customer service? It would only have taken a few seconds to look, come and find you and say, sorry we don't have any stock. Then you would have left.

But to ignore you, walk away, etc. Well that is not customer service!

Thanks guys, I am over it now though and Alan had a laugh when I told him the offer wasn't till next week :rotfl: :rotfl: He got up at 11pm to try to watch a little of the US Open golf on telly but only managed to sit for half an hour, had his last meds and had to go back to bed :( He says he may get up later as I am staying up to watch it, but would prefer him to sleep now :D

    Hiya everyone

Mr 3Dogs slept ok during the night but is in more pain this morning. A Macmillan Nurse rang to say our Nurse is not in today but to ring our GP for oramorph. I have rung the surgery and awaiting a call-back to ask the GP to call to see Alan and take his blood pressure too

    Hi all
    Hope you are all well.

Susan Nick has most of his pain in his lower back so I got him an electric heat pad from Boots, it does help him, he ties it round his back with his dressing gown cord! If Alans pain is more towards the bag though it won,t be any good cos it apparantly melts the glue and that causes a whole new set of problems!
Does Alan eat before he has his meds in the morning? Nick hates to eat first thing so I try to get him to at least have a a Build up drink or even just a glass of milk, don't think all the drugs should go straight into an empty tum, not sure if it helps, it may be just be me and old wives tales.

Oramorph is good stuff as I'm sure you know, its a good pain relief for them and kicks in quite quickly.

Don't beat yourself up for losing it in Aldi, you have far more on your plate to deal with than incompetent sales staff. Its the hardest thing in the world to deal with watching your husband suffer :( it puts all trivialities into perspective and there are times when you just want to shout and scream at people for whinging about stupid things.

Had a good day yesterday, had my Dad and his wife, Daughter and bf and son and gf round for a rib of beef that I got in Tosco at Whoopsie time for £2.54!! Was a good day! Nick managed to stay at the table for starters and Fathers Day pressies then pain set in so we took his mains and pud upstairs for him, first year ever that the kids have got him poignantly worded cards instead of jokey ones :( made me blub I must admit.

    Take care all

Sounds like a lovely Fathers Day with the family Mandy - glad Nick could manage to sit at the table for part of the meal :j

I did wonder about heat for the pain. Most of the pain is around his right side and across his middle, so probably not good to use heat there - I can image the result  He is now having some food before his morning meds and does have something before the other meds during the day ;)

The GP rang after lunch and I explained Alan's pain and that I did have a bottle of oramorph here from when prescribed for his sciatica at New Year, still sealed and in date so he said to give him 5ml teaspoon oramorph up to 4 times a day when needed and that he would call round to see him tomorrow to check him over and check his blood pressure too

Alan had just had his lunch time meds and about to go back to bed, so I gave him the oramorph and, by the time I had emptied the back of the car and put the dog crate in it, he was sound asleep. I then took dogs to the kennels - I have them booked in from today for 2 weeks and had decided to put them in whether we get away or not, to give Alan a break from their barking and playing. With them happily settled I popped round to Tosco and got £32.87 after multibuys/deals, down to £20.15 and on a nice promise from the kind Mr T to come ;)

When I got back, Alan still asleep and when he woke up, he said he'd had the best sleep for ages and felt relaxed. He certainly looked better :j He got up around 8pm for something to eat and didn't have any pain :j It started to hurt a little and he was really tired so went back to bed at 8.45pm, and when I checked him at 9.30pm, he was sound asleep :D:D So, here's hoping this is the answer for now :j
