sorry to hear that Angie. Read on another thread you were visiting everyday and working too.

I know another MSER who was supposed to go the Elton concert she couldn't get a babysitter and her Mum was helping organise it, so she said it was going to be fab. Nice though that you got free ticket to a good evening

It was a great concert and definitely Elton at his very best...he was so engaging with the audience too. Played all his best known stuff and was brilliant to see whole families all singing along and dancing in the aisles...certainly was a night I won`t forget.

Afternoon guys. Rain, rain, rain here today but as Mr 3Dogs says 'What a lovely day it is today, I'm still here'

Anyway, I rang the surgery, spoke to our GP and he is calling in tonight after surgery about 7.30/8pm to check him nad review his meds :j Alan is starting to have trouble sleeping at night now, whereas, up to recently, has been sleeping right through just about, so will have to discuss that too

Hi all!

Definitely time for some sunshine, we all seem to be having a bit of a poopy time at the moment

Susan hope your GP can sort out pain meds for Alan, I was wary of the morphine (if they suggest this) at first but Nick had the liquid to start just to see how much he was needing then they converted it to slow release tablets, these are much better as the pain relief is constant and not just effective after they have taken them. Sleep at night is difficult a) because at the moment he doesn't do too much and b) being 'flat' causes discomfort, quite often sleeps in his chair (hate it cos I need cuddles:()so am looking to get him a whoopey doopey recliner and hope it helps! Have my fingers crossed that he will be well enough to have the next chemo in a couple of weeks but its not really guaranteed.

Lighter note! Well done on your bargains!! I too made a killing at Tossco this Sunday! Had to pick up new bedside lamps after work and got to the meat whoopsie bit just in time to get £42.39 of meat for £4.70!! :T

SSA good wishes for your mum. Sounds like the Elton concert was really good! The oldies are the best! Went to see Madness 2yrs ago and they were just as good as when we saw them in our wayward youth!

Hiya Mandy. Alan had the liquid morphine when he had the bad sciatica around the New Year so he is used to it. Even have an unopened in date bottle in the cupboard still from then. I can't remember whether he got out and about when he was on it. We are hoping for something that will ease the pain but not make him so tired all the time. If there is such a thing

Alan watched the first half of the England game but had to go to bed after that, though I watched the second half too. Well, he didn't miss anything did he? :rotfl:Still, a draw is a good result considering, so well done England :beer:

When the match finished I took the dogs out and while I was out, the Doc rang but didn't leave a message. I am assuming that he was just ringing to say he was leaving the surgery, so have trapped the dogs in the kitchen with their gate across and took the throwws off the chairs/sofa so it looks tidier and not dog hairs everywhere. I tidied some things out of the bedroom today and Alan is just lying on the bed resting

Will let you know how it went later
