SORRY been MIA, work is megabusy and even when not there, feel like I should be working at home. It's all a mess

Anyway, those with things to sell try facebook selling. I belong to groups that sell really well. It's not a bidding site like ebay but cash inhand, no posting.

Things like curtains and duvet covers should sell well. I would buy decent curtains.

Mandy, Pm eagerelephant, think that is her name. Sghe has a diary. But is very knowledgable about benefits. She will be able to give you advice. X

    Hi all!

Hope your'e all well and not under water! Am so fed up with all this rain :(
I have soo much to do in the garden but everytime I have a day off the heavens open.
Son has re-taken and passed his written driving test :T

I have decided that I am going to cut down my hours at work, Nick is needing more care at the moment and I think I will qualify for carers allowance if I go part-time. As Alan is, Nick is very tired and I am getting worn out working full time and running up and down the stairs with supplies for him! we are waiting for a date for the next bout of Chemo in the meantime he is still on slow release morphine and has been given a dose of steroids in preparation.

We need to take a leaf out of your book susan and do some more stuff together.

Boult your wines sound lovely! Never tried making my own but if I have more time and less funds I may have to! :)

Take care all and stay dry!
    ML

Hiya Mandy - congrats to your son on passing this time :T Hope Nick's next chemo is a success. It's terrible when they are so tired isn't it? They want to do things, even simple things, but can't. Frustrating and depressing for them :( Hope you can get Carers Allowance sorted hun

Dull here but not raining ..... at the moment ;) Not going anywhere today as Alan not feeling too good and very tired. Realised when I got his morning tablets that he didn't have his evening ones so that may explain why he feels yucky this morning. We are watch the cricket on telly - day 3 and they finally get some play after 2 days rained off

How's the new job going hun? I see it's busy, but is it good?

Thanks for the tip about Facebook selling. I have heard people mention buying off there but didn't realise what they meant. How do I find groups? Is it area based?

Sorry congrats to DS Mandy. Problem with being on phone, I forget what has been posted.

Yes hun, type in wanted, buy, sell and your area, but you migh ht need to go generic ie Peterborough And hopefully a list comes up of groups in your area. If not, start one, I did. But I also joined others as can sell on more than one page. Some are very entertaining..... The shenanigans that go on.

Mr 3Dogs was not feeling up to going out, so I popped down the the car boot on my own at 2.30pm to drop something off for Stuart, and just sat at counter of cafe talking to him, manager, and the couple who run the cafe. All the car booters had gone by then and they were just clearing up. I updated them about how Alan was and they sent their love. Cafe owner was going to ring tonight if I/we hadn't come in today, to see how things were. It was nice just sitting chatting and having a laugh, and I went home with 3 Jubilee crown biccies, 2 choc shortbread, and a cupcake from Mrs Cafe and 4 cooked burgers and 10 cooked sausages, plus a bit of bacon from Mr Cafe, oh, and two cans of the energy drink they sell as I mentioned I give Alan these sometimes when we are going out. All free from are friends, the cafe owners - mostly for Alan but also for me and the doggies to have what he could eat or didn't fancy ;) So nice of them :A

I then went to Tosco and hit the right time as lad was reducing bakery items by 90% as it was only 10 minutes to closing by then. Only me there at first, but a crowd soon gathered and everything was very civilised, with everyone getting what they wanted. I got 7 packs in total of different pastries, croissants and cookies all at 15p each, and also got Explore China Duckling/Hoisin Sauce/Salad pot for 10p at the produce reduced point. So a happy bunny here. The lad doing the reducing asked if anyone wanted anything in particular as he had been told to stop doing it and the rest was going to waste   I would have got more but the old ladies in the street I take excess things to are away/in hospital and I had more than enough for us and any more would have gone to waste here :(

Anyway, for tea tonight we had a burger each and sausages (2 for me and 3 for Alan) together with the Hoisin Duck salad thing - total cost 10p :D:D and very nice it was too. Doggies will have the other 2 burgers and the remaining sausages mixed in with their dry food tomorrow - they have already had a sausage each earlier ;);)

Alan has been up watching some of the cricket I recorded earlier but has now gone back to bed. I will be ringing the surgery first thing in the morning to ask our GP to visit him at home tomorrow, as he definitely needs different/stronger meds now :(:(
