I agree Beanie - people say, well she's got all that money and can do what she wants but she can't. Just about every day is mapped out for her and she puts takes the oath she took at her coronation very seriously. To serve, and she certainly has. At her age, most of us would be taking it very easy, but she can't. I don't think she would ever abdicate and can see her getting to her Platinum 70th Jubliee

Hi Everyone...just popping in to say `have a great week`:j
Just seems odd that its midway through the week already but so nice of the Queen to give us an extra day off:D
I agree too Susan...that the Queen certainly has given her whole life to serve her country and that is such an achievement to celebrate. I do think that she deserves some time off though as she must work 7 days a week and that not good for anyone.
Anyway speaking of work I`d better get to bed...early start tomorrow.

Afternoon guys - sunny intervals here but rain is itching to fall
Lazy day so far but will have to get a shower and get ready soon as I must go to Ald! soon for fruit and zero cola, plus have a look in at A$da as they have absolutely loads of storecupboard items reduced to clear - worth checking labels if you get to an A$da storeMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

I'm delighted that the union jack is once more seen as the flag of the nation rather than a symbol of the far right or representing football hooligans in europe.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I agree, the far right hijacked the union flag and it has be sullied by this but it was wonderful to see so many flags and and all bunting out for the Jubilee - and hope this true nationalism sticks around afterwardsMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Evening guys - quiet day here. Alan still very tired so has spent most of the day in bed. I have done some washing and tidying up, decluttering a bit more as I go. I've got a box full of ornaments and bit & pieces to take to the cancer charity shop and some old bedspreads & bits & pieces for the tip tomorrow
Rain again this morning after a dull morningsome horrible weather forecast on it's way

DEcluttering is the bane of my life :rotfl:
Well, we are planning on going to the car boot for about 8.30 tomorrow morning so he should at least get out for a while. Hopefully we can have a look in at the auction hall too
Decluttering is like painting the Forth Road Bridge - never completedI am being more serious about it this time though. I have already put two absolutely gorgeous bedspreads/comforters ready to go in the car tomorrow to go to the tip - they both need drycleaning and I have just not got round to doing it so they just lie there, not getting done and not being able to use them. One has been folded in the sitting room with the dogs lying on it for the past month or so  I didn't pay the full price for either of them as I got them at car boots for about £10 each, so they would cost more than that to get cleaned. They are so thick that I couldn't get them in a laundrette washer even it they could be washed. It is really hurting me getting rid of them but I realise that they must go as they are just cluttering up the house
I will feel better once they are goneMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
