Spent this afternoon on carpark duty in Castle Park (will be there again tomorrow morning so pray for a nice day). The Scouts got asked by the organisers of the Medieval Fayre to run the car park and in exchange we got to keep the proceeds.
Discovered Sat. night that a near-neighbour that I have known for 14 years was a drummer in a rock band.The band was performing at my local pub as part of their beer festival. Turned into quite a rowdy night.Never Knowingly Understood.

Jubilee concert was rubbish. Even the Queen turned-up an hour after it started.
just hope this Jubilee stuff isn't being paid for by the Taxpayer.Never Knowingly Understood.

One of the Queen's wishes was that the taxpayer did not pay for the celebrations so it was all funded by private enterprises, etc
Having a nice lazy day today. Neither of us got up till 1am:eek: except to let the doggies out earlier Alan got up to watch the flypast and have a couple of bacon sarnies then went back to bed but is ok, just tired today

Whatever people's views on the Monarchy, and I loooove the Queen and the pageantry and history of it all, the chance was there for everyone to have a good time and at least it was a long weekend off for those that work.
